Friends, we lost in an election but we have not lost our good university, we have not lost our way . . . so be strong.
Sorry that I could not become your guild president though I so wished that I had been able to fulfill your hopes, but because the fraternity chose another leader, I therefore congratulate the president elect and request you to join hands to earnestly pray and wish him well through his term of office.
I would like to thank my campaign team and supporters for the sacrifices you made for me all throughout this season . . . I will always live to remember you.
I am deeply humbled, inspired but also empowered now for the future. I still believe that we have planted the seed for the future of this country.
Let us now develop a positive and courteous attitude towards each other, and also stick to the values that make us who we are. I therefore call upon for a peaceful co- existence between the two camps because ‘’what unites us is more than what divides us.’’
BE STRONG . . . May God bless you, and may God bless this great University.
