Currently there is a crisis of water in mbale town as national water struggles to supply to a big population , many families are stretching longer distances looking from wells but still at wells the flow/ pressure is too low and there are many kids who need to get back home wash their school uniforms, use the water for cooking food and bathing , this delays them alot, if many bore holes were dug, it would have lessened the situation, you will find out that they either go back home very late or miss on water cause sometimes small kids can't not manage to struggle with big people.

Our support staff at Bunyanga Bright Primary School Wambete who helps to carry clean water from a clean well for pupils to drink and use it for cooking as well Wambete is so committed with his work .

Like food, education, and proper health care, access to water is a right that is critical to the survival and development of children.

As lead advocates for childrenโ€™s rights, UNICEF and the Government of the Republic of Uganda are building systems to increase access to safe and clean water for children, women, and everyone.

One of our parent , he has trying to farm onions and tomatoes, they really did well and he still loves to carry on with such projects but he says that the challenge is pests and lack of fertilizer otherwise he could have gotten more yields that could have been just enough to sell pay some contributions at Bunyanga Bright Primary School and feed on his family and also be able to keep seeds for the next season, so impressed and such parents need our support during this kind of farming, the fish he harvested from another neighborhood who had a fish pond .Hours of Human Happiness, 3H

Currently the government of uganda has restricted on charcoal used cause it's cause deforestation and and it has burned charcoal,,,, though there is still fluking of bags of charcoal/ coal and being sold but very expensive and many poor people can not afford it even gas for cooking is too expensive for many families who can't afford,,, so we have learnt simple ways to locally make long burning charcoal it's a mixture of charcoal dust and cowdung or an antihil soil well mixed and processed and dried it's said it burns much better than Charcoal/coal, and it has no side effects on human life , no smoke and lasts more longer on the charcoal stove than charcoal itself.. such an innovation needs to be taught and given a Free skill to our community Hours of Human Happiness, 3H Terri Jones

Locally there are coco yams coiling the trees for support as they grow. Itโ€™s a long 6 month wait before they can be harvested! Cassava is growing well too.
Some of our families keep pigs as well.

Muboche Pafulo is one of the parents of our pupils. He has been farming coffee for over 9years, which is a great source of income for people in Namayili. He also enjoys pounding his own coffee beans.

The farmers of Namayili sometimes struggle with the weather, it can be too wet or too sunny. Finding the balance is tricky!

Chance Nabweya Community Organisation and Bunyanga Bright Primary School, Uganda

Chance Nabweya Community Organisation was initially set up, with the aim of keeping local children in education via sponsorship.

A 2017 census showed that 80.2% of children in Bududa were deprived of school fees, uniforms and school materials due to a lack of funds within their family. Across Uganda, the number of children enrolled in primary education is steadily decreasing. This is due to a number of factors, including distance to a local school and funds. Chance Nabweya Community Organisation wants to help change that situation.

Once Chance Nabweya was set up, families could come to them to ask for help, or families that committee members met out in the local community, could be directed to the charity and the help they could offer. Chance Nabweya relies on generous donations and pupil sponsorship. All money donated goes towards the children in the project - paying for school and exam fees, purchasing school books or materials, providing uniform and ensuring children can pay for a meal at lunchtime in school.

The building used by Chance Nabweya was originally designed to be a school, but was never operational due to a lack of teachers and funds. The school is located along the Manafwa River, in the sub-county of Nabweya. It was built under the NUSAF Program, with support from the Ugandan government, but a lack of funds means that it has been left there unfinished.
