Dear Friends, Donors, Community Members, and the Government of Uganda.

We write to you today with an urgent plea for the children of Namayili.

Many vulnerable, poor, and orphaned children in our community are struggling to access even the most basic education.

We have managed to build a community school, but we are facing a heartbreaking reality:

we have eager children, but no teachers, and no funding to keep the classrooms running.

Being a community-led initiative, we currently lack the scholastic materials and finances required to properly support these young learners.

Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, yet these children are at risk of being left behind.

As noted by the Love Uganda Foundation, ensuring vulnerable children stay in school and receive scholastic materials is vital.

We cannot do this alone, which is why we are reaching out for your help.

We are actively seeking partners, well-wishers, and government support for co-funding and resource sharing to transform this school into a functioning sanctuary of learning.

Your contribution can help us hire dedicated teachers, purchase essential supplies, and provide these children with the opportunity they deserve.

Please consider partnering with us to restore hope to Namayili, Bunyanga Bright primary school.

No contribution is too small to make a difference in a child's life.

With deepest gratitude.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are thrilled to share an update from our ongoing national and international charity and community tour of Namayili and Bunyanga Bright primary school.

The primary goal of this tour is to check on the wonderful children our school used to help.

Seeing them today—grown up, healthy, and building their futures—is a powerful testament to what your generosity achieves.

They are living proof that education changes lives.

However, our tour also reminds us of the work ahead.

We have met many upcoming vulnerable children who are waiting for their chance at a better future and desperately need our collective support.

As we look at our grown-ups, we are inspired to do more for this next generation. Thank you for walking this journey with us across borders!

Warmly

Poverty in Bududa is a complex challenge driven by geographical vulnerabilities, environmental pressures, and limited access to basic economic resources.

The Chance Nabweya community organization champions localized support, self-reliance, and empowerment to break generational cycles of poverty through sustainable community initiatives.

The Reality of Poverty in BududaFamilies in our community are facing hardships that go beyond basic financial struggles.

In Bududa, poverty is measured by multidimensional factors: thousands of children are kept out of school due to child labor or hunger, countless households lack access to stable income and clean cooking fuel, and the constant threat of landslides makes building sustainable livelihoods incredibly difficult.

Our Vision for ChangeAt the Chance Nabwya community organization, we believe that the ultimate cure for poverty is empowerment.

We are dedicated to helping families build self-reliance so they can provide for themselves today and thrive tomorrow.

We achieve this by focusing on:

Skills Development:
Providing vocational training so youth and adults can secure sustainable, non-agricultural employment.

Agricultural Support:

Teaching sustainable farming methods to improve food security and increase crop yields in our highland terrain.

Financial Inclusion:

Facilitating access to small-scale micro-finance grants to help working women and local entrepreneurs start their own businesses.

A Call to ActionBreaking this cycle of poverty requires a collective effort.

We appeal to:

The Local People:

To embrace these empowerment programs and work together to support one another.

The Government:

To invest in better community infrastructure, agricultural resources, and accessible education for our district.International Charities & NGOs:

To partner with grassroots organizations like ours to reach the most vulnerable families in hard-to-reach areas.Friends & Individuals:

To stand with us through financial support, volunteer work, or resource donations.

Together, we can transform Bududa from a region surviving on aid to a resilient, self-reliant community where every family has the opportunity to prosper.
