HOW TO PREPARE FOR A JOB INTERVIEW.

3. PRACTISE INTERVIEWING.
Take the time to practise answering interview questions you will probably be asked during a job interview. This will help give you a chance to prepare and practise answers, and will also help calm your nerves because you won't be scrambling for an answer while you are in the interview hot seat.
Practise interviewing with a friend or family member ahead of time and it will be much easier when you're actually in a job interview.
Try to conduct the practice interview in the same format as the real interview.
For example,if it is a phone interview, ask a friend to call you to practise answering questions over the phone. If it is a panel interview, ask a couple of friends to pretend to be a panel.
Review common job interview questions and answers and think about how you will respond so you are prepared to answer.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A JOB INTERVIEW.

2. DIG INTO THE JOB DESCRIPTION.
Spend some time going through the job posting line by line and thinking about how your experience and skills equip you to excel at the job .
In particular, for each responsibility or qualification listed, try to come up with concrete examples from your past that you can point as supporting evidence that you'd be great at the job-such as times that you faced similar challenges and how you tackled them and particular successes you've had that you can tie back to what it will take to succeed in this role.

Try to come up with at least four or five concrete examples or stories from your past work that you can use to paint a picture of how you operate, what you've achieved and why you are great at what you do.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A JOB INTERVIEW.

Job interviews can be challenging if you do not have all the information you need.
As an expert who writes about work and interviewing;I'm convinced that the best thing you can do ahead of a job interview is to prepare for it about twice as much as you think you might need to.
I will lead you through the 11 ways how to hit at that dream job.

1.Before your interview, spend some real time on the employer's website.
Read about them, their clients and their products or services. Your goal here isn't just to learn about how they see themselves.
In reality, there might not be a ton on their website that distinguishes their work from other employers in their field. But you will probably get a sense of what makes them different.
That's useful to know, because if that understanding is reflected in your conversation in the interview, you will come across as if you get them-and that's appealing to them.
Also, the more you understand about the context they work in, the better you'll be able to tailor your answers in a way that will be relevant to them.
In the next article,I 'll drive you to step 2 of getting set for a job interview.

•Using the possessive `s with inanimate objects.

DON'T SAY:Her car's door is open.
SAY: The door of her car is open.

With inanimate objects,we usually use the 'of structure e.g the window if her room, the surface of the water.

When stating names of places and organisations,we can use either. For example, the school's main office=the main office of the school, Uganda's climate=the climate of Uganda.

Note:We do say a day's work,a night's rest,a week's holiday etc. especially with similar measures of time.
