Hi guys am going start a lesson in Word processing with you.
What is a word processor?
This is an application used to create document. The file extension for all document files is .doc at the end of file name.
Examples of Word processors.
Here we are going focus on the most commonly used Microsoft Word.
Microsoft Word is an example of Word Processor used by Microsoft computers.
How to access Microsoft Word( Assuming it was installed in the computer you are using)
* Click on the Start Menu button. This button is found on the left bottom edge of the desktop.
* Point to All Programs to display programs installed in the computer.
* Point on the Microsoft Office folder , then click on Microsoft Word.
Now the document window will be displayed so as you can now type your document.
My class will now focus on the following this week:
1. How to Save, Save As a document.
2. How to Copy, Cut and Paste.
3. How to Bold, Italic and Underline.

HOW TO SAVE, SAVE AS A DOCUMENT
To Save a document: Keyboard Shortcut Key (Press Control + S)
Lets assume you have typed a document which you want save;
1. Click on Office button on the Top Left Edge of the document.
2. On the display panel, click Save, then rename the file how you want it to be saved.
NB: Ms Word always saves its files in "My Document" folder in the computer.
How to access My Document
1. Click on Start Menu button on the Bottom Left edge of desktop.
2. Click on My Documents and browser for your saved file.
The default name for unsaved document file is Document1, Document2, etc
To Save As a document: Keyboard Shortcut Key (Press F12)
1. Click on Office button on the Top Left Edge of the document.
2. On the display panel, click Save As, then rename the file how you want it to be saved.
