The permaculture design course for disadvanged and orphans refugee children second cohort has started on Friday 23rd Feb 2024 at Arise school.

In the first cohort we were able to equip and train 80 children in permaculture design course and results were positive. In this second cohort that kicked off on 23rd Feb we are going to train 100 children thoughout the academic year 2024.

We want our children to get quality education and acquire important skills which will enable them to be agents of change, self reliant in future and bring out sustainable solutions regarding different issues faced within the community.

Henceforth, we are envisioning to live in a community where there's no poverty, where there's zero hunger, where there's affordable and clean water, where there's decent work and economic growth, where there's inclusion and easy access to quality education , opportunities and skills for refugee children who are living in desperation and poor life condition.

We are hereby extending our heartfelt gratitude to Full Circle Learning for the grant given in 2023 to us under the project called ecogarden, the grant enabled the school to have its own garden where students will be doing the practice of permaculture and grow food from.

Permaculture for children program at Arise school. The program aims to secure a sustainable yield with as little effort as possible and enable children to contribute on the food supply at their respective homes by making kitchen gardens and sack mounds.
