A STATEMENT ON SUSPECTED MURDER TO A STUDENT OF ST JOSEPH'S COLLEGE, OMBACI, ARUA CITY.

In Arua city, police are Investigating an incident of murder where a student by the names Aziz Adnani, male adult aged 21 years, a senior four(4) student of St Joseph's college Ombaci was murdered by unknown people on 04th/03/2022 in the evening hours. The deceased hails from Terego cell, Tanganyika ward, Central Division, Arua City. It's alleged that the students of St. Joseph's college Ombaci including the deceased went for a friendly football match in Koboko Municipality with Ayume Memorial SSS on 04th/03/2022, where the deceased is suspected to have sneaked out and involved himself in a fight with yet unknown people and sustained serious injuries. The fellow students sneaked the deceased in to the school bus and returned back to school without informing the administration. From there, they immediately sneaked again with the deceased to Radiology clinic in Arua city for treatment. By the time the teachers learnt about the incident, they tried to make follow-up but then all of a sudden, the deceased died. The report was made at Arua Central Police Station by the Deputy headteacher of the same school, one Angunda James, 47 years old, Lugbara, resident of Ombaci institution cell, Ombokoro ward, Ayivu division, Arua City on 04th/03/2022 at 10:27pm in the night and the incident occurred between 3 to 5pm, same day. Police acted by registering the case of murder, they picked-up the body from Radiology clinic to Arua Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem so as to find the cause of death, and the result retrieved and attached to the case file, relevant statements are being recorded, no arrest made yet, investigations have kicked off so as to get the suspects. Inquiries continue under Arua CPS SD reference number 73/04/03/2022.
Police appeals to those who have relevant information about the incident to share it with police so as to support investigations. Students are urged to always be careful of their lives and not involve themselves in unnecessary fights that can end their lives prematurely or cause them serious injuries.
