💥Employees of the Department of Geotechnics and Structural Elements of Buildings conducted a survey of the karst fracture at the construction site.

❗As a result of the influence of karst processes, sedimentation, and failure of the earth's surface occur, deformations of structures up to their destruction.

✅Based on the study results, employees issued recommendations on construction foundations at the construction area.

💢An employee of the Department of Building Constructions Perminov D.A. took part in developing design documentation for the heliport.

❗When developing the documentation, possible emergency situations were taken into account: a helicopter landing on the edge of the site, work related to the placement of heavy loads and equipment outside the central part of the site, which creates a risk of overturning the entire structure, as well as repair and loading works.

✅Based on the work results, piles were designed to keep the foundation and the entire structure from tipping over. In addition, the stability of the slope was checked at the site's location since the boundary of an active landslide is located nearby (the thickness of landslide accumulations is 10-15 meters). When calculating the stability of the slope, it's fixing with piles under the action of landslide pressure was taken into account.

📌Employees of the department "Construction Engineering and Materials Science" analyzed the medical building of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea "Solnechnaya Tavrika" Sanatorium in the city of Evpatoria.

✅Based on the study results, a conclusion was issued on the state of the building structures of the facility. This data will be used during the repair work.

⚡Employees of the Department of Geotechnical and Structural Elements investigated the construction of an apartment building at the address of the city Saki, in the area of ​​​​Lake Chokrak, in complicated engineering and geological conditions.

❗In the field, a study of the deformation properties of soils was carried out. The study was carried out by stage-by-stage loading of a rigid stamp installed on grounds and located within the sphere of interaction with the construction.

✅Based on the study of the building, a forecast is proposed. The forecast indicates changes in soils' physical and mechanical characteristics during the construction and operation of the building.

📝The Day of Russian Students or Tatyana's Day is a memorable date in the history of Russia. The holiday appeared during the reign of Empress Elizabeth, who on January 25, 1755, signed a decree "On the Establishment of Moscow University", supporting the initiative of Mikhail Lomonosov and Count Ivan Shuvalov. The decree was a gift on the name day of Count Shuvalov's mother - Tatyana. "Tatyana's Day" began to be celebrated first as the university's birthday and later as a holiday for Russian students.

❗Since 2005, January 25 has been officially celebrated in Russia as the Day of Russian Students.

⭐In Russia, students' day at each university is celebrated differently. As a rule, on January 25, events, flash mobs, or quests are held at our university.

📌Employees of the Department of Building Constructions, head of the laboratory Bogutsky G.A., senior lecturer Bogutsky Y.G., and assistant, Ph.D. Kalafatov D.A. completed a set of works on the technical inspection of building structures of the object of construction in progress (tunnel) on the street. Dneprovskaya 5, Yalta.

❗Construction was suspended in 2013 without conservation of the construction facility.

💢The examination revealed a displacement of the lower sections of the lining arches perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tunnel, which amounted to 50 mm on each side. Surface corrosion of the load-bearing steel structural elements was revealed, but the integrity of the sections was not violated. Displacements are a consequence of the horizontal pressure of the soil behind a solid tightening of the truss due to the lack of a reinforced concrete lining of the tunnel.

💥Employees of the Department of Construction Engineering and Materials Science explored an old residential building in Sevastopol on the street. B. Morskaya, 29.

✅A survey of stone walls, foundations, and other structural elements was carried out. Based on the study results, a technical report was drawn up.

❗A distinctive feature of this work was the study of the structure of materials on selected samples using modern equipment of the department (Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer STA 8000, Perkin Elmer, Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer LA-960 - HORIBA, Microscope MBS-10).

📝The research results are used to train bachelors and masters of the specialty "Production and application of building materials, products, and structures".

📌Masters of the Department of Geotechnical and Structural Elements of Buildings with scientific director Dyakov I.M. carry out experimental studies of the work of foundations in an earthen pallet.

❗Employees of the department "Building structures" Mitrofanov S.V. and Sintsov A. V. investigated the metal structures of the TV tower in Simferopol. The height of the TV tower is 180 meters.

✳ Purpose of the study:
✅ Determination of the state of structures;
✅ Identification of defects and deviations affecting the bearing capacity of objects;
✅ Instrumental examination of structural elements;
✅ Calculation of the elements of the TV tower for the perception of wind load, taking into account the installation of new equipment.

⚡ Based on the visual and instrumental examination results, the department employees were given recommendations for the further operation of the facility. The Calculation of structural elements showed that, in general, the structure and its components could perceive wind loads, considering the installation of additional equipment.
