Lamu, Kenya

La Sagrada Familia: Barcelona, Spain
Construction began on this imposing structure in 1882. After more than 140 years, the complex is set to be completed in 2026. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, La Sagrada Família is one of more than 20 impressive works in Barcelona by this famed architect – and is considered to be his most monumental. The basilica has extended hours most days in the busy tourist season, but you'll want to book tickets ahead of time and plan accordingly since the lines to enter can be very long, especially during the summer.

Iguazu Falls
This vast water system is one of the most beautiful places in the world, capable of competing in spectacle even with the famous Niagara. It consists of 275 waterfalls located in the national parks of Argentina and Brazil. Both are called Iguazu and are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The most famous of the waterfalls is named Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo). It is 82 meters high. You can admire the spectacular view of the falling water from special observation decks or while walking on hiking trails — many of them pass at the foot of the waterfalls.
