🇬🇭 To the attention of applicants from Ghana! 🇺🇦
Ukrainian State Center for International Education recommends you to get familiar with the minimum requirements of the Embassy of Ghana for those applicants, who want to apply to Ukrainian higher educational institutions for 2020-2021 academic year.
☑️For first degree entrants:
● Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSSCE) Candidates should have credit passes (A-D) in 6 subjects, comprising 3 core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics and 3 relevant subjects.
● West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Candidates should have credit passes (A1-C6) in 6 subjects, comprising 3 core subjects, including English and Mathematics and 3 relevant subjects.
● General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) Candidates should have credit passes (A-D) in 6 subjects, comprising 3 core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics and 3 relevant subjects.
● General Certificate of Education (GCE) Candidates should have passes in 3 subjects, and, at least one of the passes should be grade D or better). The applicants must have credit passes (Grade 6) in 5 GCE ordinary level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and a science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subjects (for science students).
● Higher National Diploma (HND) Candidates with a good certificate (at least 2 class lower division) and acquired 2-year post-HND qualification working experience.
● Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Candidates must have credit passes in 5 subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science OR Social studies in General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) OR Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSSCE) OR West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). ABCE candidates can apply at level 200 of a degree program.
❗According to the Letter of the Embassy of Ghana CON/EDU/18/19 from 18.01.2018 medical or biological entrants should have had passed mathematics, biology, physcis, chemistry and core science minimum A1-C6 scores (WASSCE holders) or A-D (SSSCE holders) and A-D (GBCE holders). In addition according to the Note verbal of the Embassy of Ghana 33/12/11 from 03.07.2020, first degree GCE entrants should have passed in 3 subjects (at least with grade D or better) and credits passed in 5 ordinary level subjects, including English language, Mathematics and a Science Subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for Science students).
✅ For diploma programs applicants:
● Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSSCE) holders must have 6 passes (A-D) in all subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. For areas of specialization, 3 of the passes must be in relevant subjects.
● West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) holders must have 6 passes (A1-D7), 3 of which should be credit passes C6 or better in other relevant courses.
3. For diploma in Business Studies (DBS) applicants:
● West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) holders must have 4 credit passes (A1-C6) including English Language and Mathematics, plus DBS qualification could be used as entry qualification for relevant Higher National Diploma programs.
● Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSSCE) holders must have 4 passes (A-D) including English Language and Mathematics, plus DBS qualification could be used as entry qualification for relevant Higher National Diploma programs.
📌 Notify, that Diploma in Business Studies can’t be used for admission into first degree programs.
📌 Also, foreign secondary qualifications, such as GCSE, IGCSE, GCE/A level and international Baccalaureate (IB) are acceptable qualifications and are placed with the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSC).
