Would appreciate your prayers as we are putting on a small carnival (tomorrow) for the orphans that we work with. This will also be the last time that we see them before our home service.

Just watched a 7 yr. old orphan girl celebrate her birthday for the first time... the look on her face was priceless!
The other day at the orphanage, Dima (6 yrs old) came running down the stairs counting to 10 in English. He looked at me and proudly exclaimed, "I'm counting to ten in English!" I chuckled to myself. He then asked, "Can you count to 10 in English?" I said, yes, and he asked me to start counting. When I got to 20 he looked at me with these big eyes and said, "Whoa!! Great job! You can count in English." Well, at least I can impress someone! :)
Chinese food is hard to find here, so our team was excited to try out this new restaurant called Shanghai Blues. The place had a nice Oriental theme, but there wasn't any Chinese food on the menu. Apparently the owners just changed it to a Georgian (the country, not the state) restaurant, but they haven't changed the name. They only had 2 menus for the whole place, but the food was good. So we had a unique dining experience at a Chinese-decorated restaurant that serves Georgian food in Ukraine.
If you know of anyone who is interested in adopting an older girl orphan, please contact us! We know of 3 who are aging out of the system in 8 months and after that they will never have the chance to be in a family.

We are able to go to our church's orphanage twice a week. Every time we come I am always bombarded with the question, "Are we going to do a craft?" Yesterday, one of the boys came up to ask me and when I said, "yes," he gave me a big hug and then excitedly exclaimed to everyone that we were going to do a craft! Well, it's a done deal now......How can I not bring a craft each time we go?! Here is a picture of Marat with the craft my mom brought for them to do.

Sweet Dima. One of the boys that we work with at our church's orphanage. The other day we came to spend time with them and when he saw us he said, We prayed that you would come!"
We are back from one camp & on Monday Gabe is off to another. The relationships we were able to build with both the kids and the Ukrainian staff exceeded our expectations! Thanks for praying and please keep it up!
