☀️Summer flew by very quickly and autumn has already arrived. From now on, the days will become shorter, and the sun will appear less and less from behind the clouds. It will rain more often, and the leaves on the trees will turn yellow.

☀️For some, this is a reason for sadness, while others breathe a sigh of relief after the summer heat. But one way or another, the arrival of autumn is a great reason to learn how we call the seasons in Ukrainian.

🍁О́сінь [osin'] - autumn
❄️Зима́ [zyma] - winter
🌸Весна́ [wesna] - spring
☀️Лі́то [lito] - summer

And what is your favorite season?

Today, August 24, Ukraine celebrates the 31st anniversary of its Independence. One of our enduring symbols is the Ukrainian flag, whose day we celebrated yesterday, August 23.
Every child in Ukraine knows what these colors mean.
💙Blue is the color of the peaceful sky overhead. It is the color of purity and bright hope for the future.
💛Yellow is the color of flowering and fertile lands. The color of the sunflower and the personification of a happy life on this golden land.

Today, this flag is experiencing its proudest times, it can be seen all over the world. And through this symbol, we salute all those heroes of the past and present who believed for generations that Ukraine is a democratic, free and independent state.
Happy !

Hello everybody!

🥄We all love to taste delicious food. Every country has its own national dishes, but it is no secret that borsch (also borscht, borshch) is is the favorite dish of Ukrainians, a symbol of Ukrainian culinary culture and prosperity.
🥄This dish is made from chopped beets, cabbage with the addition of potatoes and various seasonings. Actually, it is the collective name of various options of the first course, the common feature of which is a sour taste.
🥄According to many experts, the borsch spread to different territories exactly from Ukraine and took root there so organically that every country considers it traditional for itself. Borsch names can be found in Belarusian, Lithuanian and Polish cuisines, but the priority of recipe development has historically remained with Ukrainians. This was confirmed on July 1, 2022, at the 5th extraordinary meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage, when Ukrainian borsch entered the list of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage.
🥄There is an assumption that initially in Ukraine, borsch was a purely ritual dish. And today, borsch is one of the obligatory wedding dishes, it is also prepared for holidays.
🥄It is believed that Ukrainians eat more than 0.5 billion liters of borscht per year.

Hello all!

Not so long ago we discussed the most frequently used letter of the Ukrainian alphabet (this is "п"). The question arises: which letter is the least frequently used?🤔
Today in our we are finding the answer. This is the letter "ф" [f].

Once upon a time, this letter was called "fert", imitating the "snort" of a horse (in the Ukrainian style).
But why are there so few words with this beautiful letter and sound in our language? Because the "f" sound was borrowed from Greek. And it turns out that there is no specifically Ukrainian word with the letter "f": факт [fact], телефон [telephone], філософія [philosophy] — all these words are borrowed from other languages.

Today Ukrainians celebrate an important holiday, the Constitution Day of Ukraine.

📜The basic law of our state has deep roots in history - the so-called Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk (1710) was the most progressive document of its time. In form, it was an agreement between the Cossacks - those who elect, and the hetman - who is elected. So, at the beginning of the XVIII century, this document established the principles of a democratic parliamentary republic, in which the hetman was given a secondary, rather "managerial" role.
📜The Latin version of Pylyp Orlyk's Constitution as a literary work became very common in Europe. And in a couple of decades, the work of the French educator Charles Louis Montesquieu came out with the same idea of the division of power into legislative, executive and judicial branches, and in some time this idea "swept" the world.

Hello everybody!

⭐️These days were truly historic for the history of Europe and Ukraine. One of the most important decisions for all 30 years of independence of our state, the candidacy for Ukraine in the European Union was made. We sincerely believe that this is also the huge step towards strengthening Europe that could be taken right now, in our time and in a context where war is testing our ability to preserve freedom and unity.
⭐️Although our sounds quite similar in different languages of the world, we would like to share how it appears in Ukrainian.

Євро́па [yevrо́pa] - Europe

Hello everybody!
Today in our we continue to learn about the letters of the Ukrainian alphabet.
🤔Very few people know that the letter "п" ("p" in English) is the most used one in the Ukrainian language. It means that the greatest number of words begin from it.
🤔The letter "п" is so common that it is possible to create meaningful sentences and even texts where words begin only with this one letter.

🔍The ancient park overgrown with ferns gave a pleasant coolness. The air befuddled with fragrant aromas. After walking in the park, the couple sat down under a sprouted ivy tree. They sat, dreamed, sighed, whispered, huddled. The first kiss was heard.

Hi everybody!

Today we continue to talk about the symbols of our country and our is about a very summer and blooming sunflower.

🌻In Ukrainian culture, the sunflower is revered as a special flower. For Ukrainians, this is one of the images of the Motherland. It is said that the person with his thoughts and words is addressed to his native Motherland, just like the flower stretches its petals to the Sun.
🌻A symbol of fertility and prosperity, the sunflower has always been depicted in works of folk art: painted on dishes, or just on the walls of the house, on the stove, it has been added to ornaments. Here it symbolizes the energy of the sun and health.
🌻In recent years, the sunflower has become a symbol of grief for the fallen Ukrainian military, as if every flower in the Ukrainian field symbolizes the soul of each of those who gave their lives.
🌻Another is that Ukraine is the world's largest producer of sunflower seeds. In particular, as of 2013, Ukraine produced as much as 11 million tons, most of which were exported.

The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up.
(с) A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

✈️Every person has dreams. For Ukraine as a society, the word "Dream" also has a different meaning, this is the name of the largest aircraft in the world until 2022, the An-225, which was built in our country in the 80's.

✈️With a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tonnes (705 short tons), the An-225 held several records, including heaviest aircraft ever built and largest wingspan of any aircraft in operational service. The Mriya attracted a high degree of public interest, attaining a global following due to its size and its uniqueness.

✈️ Despite the fact that this plane was destroyed recently by russian invaders, Ukrainians believe that their "Mriya" will soon be restored and will continue its journey across our planet.
