Lviv British School

🇬🇧 On 18 June, a swimming competition was held at Lviv British School swimming pool for students of the school and members of the swimming club. Around 70 children took part in the sporting event, demonstrating their skills, stamina and sporting spirit.

The participants competed in their respective age groups over 25- and 50-metre freestyle distances. Parents and supporters created the atmosphere of a true sporting celebration, actively cheering on the young swimmers during every race.

A special moment was the awards ceremony. The children received awards in the ‘My First Race’ category, as well as prizes for first, second and third places. The young athletes received medals, certificates and gifts in recognition of their achievements.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the event’s partner — ‘Bobo Sticks’ — for supporting the competition and providing delicious sweet treats for the participants, which added to the festive atmosphere of the event.

🇬🇧 Teachers of Lviv British School took part in the ‘Teachers of the Future 2026’ festival — one of the largest educational events in Ukraine and Europe, which this year is being held under the theme ‘The Art of Creating the Future’.

We are convinced that the future is being shaped today — in school classrooms, in the daily interaction between teachers and pupils, in bold ideas and the desire to change education for the better. That is precisely why the Lviv British School team joined the professional dialogue on how to combine humanity, creativity and the possibilities of artificial intelligence, so that every lesson becomes a true workshop for life.

It was particularly pleasing that, as part of the festival, educators from various parts of Ukraine visited Lviv British School. The guests had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with our educational environment, our teaching philosophy and the approaches that help shape a generation of responsible, free and self-confident individuals.

🇬🇧 Today, Lviv British School students immersed themselves in the fascinating world of physics and learnt how electricity works around us. During the lesson, they studied the phenomenon of electrification, familiarised themselves with the concept of electric current, and learnt about the role played by electrons.

The students investigated how an electric charge arises, why some objects are attracted to one another after friction, and how the movement of electrons creates an electric current. Thanks to engaging explanations and practical examples, the children gained a better understanding of the physical phenomena that surround us in our daily lives.

🇺🇦 Сьогодні учні Lviv British School поринули у захопливий світ фізики та дізнавалися, як працює електрика навколо нас. Під час заняття школярі вивчали явище електризації, знайомилися з поняттям електричного струму та дізнавалися, яку роль відіграють електрони.

Учні досліджували, як виникає електричний заряд, чому деякі предмети притягуються після тертя та як рух електронів створює електричний струм. Завдяки цікавим поясненням і практичним прикладам діти краще зрозуміли фізичні явища, які щодня оточують нас у повсякденному житті.

🇬🇧 An interesting and informative session on healthy eating took place at the Lviv British School. The pupils explored the world of healthy and unhealthy foods, learning to distinguish between what is truly beneficial for the body and what should be consumed in moderation.

During the session, the children cut out pictures of foods, worked on their own themed posters and actively discussed the impact of diet on health, well-being and energy levels. Through this creative work, the pupils not only reinforced important knowledge about a balanced diet, but also developed their attention, creativity and fine motor skills.

At Lviv British School, we firmly believe that healthy habits are formed from an early age, and that learning becomes even more effective when combined with creativity, practical activities and lively discussion.

🇺🇦 У Lviv British School відбулося цікаве та пізнавальне заняття, присвячене темі здорового харчування. Учні поринули у світ корисних і шкідливих продуктів, навчаючись розрізняти, що справді приносить користь організму, а що варто споживати помірно.

Під час заняття діти вирізали зображення продуктів, працювали над власними тематичними плакатами та активно обговорювали вплив харчування на здоров’я, самопочуття й енергію. У процесі творчої роботи школярі не лише закріплювали важливі знання про правильний раціон, а й розвивали уважність, креативність і дрібну моторику.

У Lviv British School ми переконані: корисні звички формуються змалку, а навчання стає ще ефективнішим, коли поєднується з творчістю, практикою та живим спілкуванням.

🇬🇧 Today, student at the Lviv British School immersed themselves in the fascinating process of creating simple electrical circuits using an electronics kit. The children learnt how to connect the components of an electrical circuit correctly, explored how electric current flows, and observed the results of their own work.

During the lesson, LEDs lit up, fans started spinning and various signals sounded, and every successfully assembled circuit brought new discoveries and genuine excitement.

Such practical sessions help students to better understand the principles of how electrical circuits work, develop logical thinking, attentiveness and technical skills, and also spark an interest in science and modern technologies.

🇺🇦 Сьогодні учні Lviv British School занурилися у захопливий процес створення простих електричних схем за допомогою електричного конструктора. Діти вчилися правильно з’єднувати елементи електричного кола, досліджували, як проходить струм, та спостерігали за результатами власної роботи.

Під час заняття загорялися світлодіоди, запускалися вентилятори та звучали різноманітні сигнали, а кожна успішно зібрана схема дарувала нові відкриття та справжні емоції захоплення.

Такі практичні заняття допомагають учням краще зрозуміти принципи роботи електричних кіл, розвивати логічне мислення, уважність і технічні навички, а також пробуджують інтерес до науки та сучасних технологій.
