Plateau de Valensole, Alpes de Haute-Provence, France
The most gorgeous shades of purple can be seen at the Plateau de Valensole. It is located at an altitude of 500 meters south of Alpes de Haute-Provence and has the most beautiful fields in Europe of lavender, the famous Provençal scented plant. Along with this, there are wheat fields and an array of lovely villages like Esparron-de-Verdon, Riez, and Saint-Martin-de-Brômes. Also, the best time for lovers of Provençal landscapes is July, when the Valensole plateau is flooded with stunning blue lavender in full bloom.

Great Barrier Reef, Australia
The Great Barrier Reef in Australia is the largest coral reef system in the world and one of the most beautiful places to visit. And you will be surprised to know that it is composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 stretches of islands. It is located in the Coral Sea near Queensland and with rare and unique species, habitats, and more, it makes one of the most complex natural ecosystems in the world.

Santorini, Greece
A trip to Greece isn’t complete without Santorini — the most well-known and oft-talked about island (for good reason) of them all. A volcanic explosion created the stunning cliffs of Santorini, which now feature two gorgeous cobblestoned towns — Oia and Fira.
Tourists love to take donkeys up and down the steep staircases, edging along the cliffs and snaking through the villages.

Positano, Italy
Positano is the “it girl” of Italy’s most romantic, colourful and charming region – The Amalfi Coast. Its gorgeous candy coloured cliffside houses, unbelievable food, stunning Mediterranean waters and incredible Roman history are just a few things it has going for it. Positano is a place that doesn’t seem real. It’s the epitome of romance, adventure, food and culture all rolled into one.

The Azores, Portugal
This slice of heaven is comprised of nine volcanic islands and is one of the most dreamy places on the planet. The small autonomous region of Portugal is peppered with cosy fishing villages, vibrant turquoise lakes and endless hydrangea fields. The string of islands also boasts the highest point in all of Portugal, Mount Pico. Thanks to their remote location, they are practically untouched by tourists meaning you’ve got the place to yourself.

Amalfi Coast, Italy
While living in South Italy, I often spent weekends wandering the many walkways and stone staircases winding through Amalfi, Ravello and Positano. There is a path, Il Sentiero Degli Dei, that climbs high above the tourist crowds and takes you all along the beautiful coastline. I'll never forget watching sunsets from up there in total solitude, and then climbing down to the lively town squares for dinner by the sea.
