Почему мы ведем эту программу
Здесь в «Маленькой Америке» благодаря уникальной методике ILP дети осваивают английский как второй родной язык, и мы уверены, что для детей это лучший способ изучать язык. Одаренность украинских детей удивительна и в атмосфере любви и праздника обучение идет непринужденно. Присущая детям любознательность позволяет им осваивать новые понятия и языки удивительно эффективно. По нашему мнению, при изучении языка лучше всего поступать также, как и при освоении своего родного языка. Общение с молодыми американскими учителями расширяет кругозор детей и пробуждает желание знакомиться с другими культурами и странами. Очень важно то, что дети получают реальный опыт общения с носителями английского языка. И поэтому родился проект «Маленькая Америка». Here at Little America, Ukrainian children are mastering English as if it were a second "native" language due to the unique ILP method, which we believe is the best way to learn languages. We believe in the excellence of our Ukrainian children. We believe that when provided a fun, and loving environment; learning becomes natural for them. Their innate curiosity and interests allow them to learn new concepts and languages in a surprisingly effective way. We feel that mastering English is best accomplished by using the same methods we use to learn our native languages. We believe in inspiring our children’s curiosity about other countries and cultures, and broadening their minds by interacting with young American teachers. We feel that it is very important to put our children in real English-speaking experiences with native speaking teachers in order to effectively teach English. Thus Little America was born.
Как мы это делаем
Метод ILP(International Language Programs) – уникален и базируется на результатах длительных исследований детской психологии. Его суть заключается не просто в полном погружении в атмосферу английского языка с носителями речи. Наши учителя не говорят на родном для учеников языке, и мы не тратим время на переводы. Поэтому дети оказываются в реальной (не «понарошку») ситуации общения с носителями языка. Дети развивают способность думать на английском. Увлекательные уроки, веселые и понятные для каждой возрастной группы, вызывают у детей желание детей участвовать, а значит им приходится начинатьть говорить по-английски. Позитивная и дружелюбная атмосфера помогает быстро растопить языковый барьер. The ILP method that we employ is unique and is based on years of research on children’s developmental psychology. We believe in doing more than completely immersing children in English with native speaking teachers. Our teachers don’t speak the native language of the children, preventing us from wasting time on translating. This allows for a real English-learning experience rather than trying to trick the students. Instead, the children develop the ability to think in English. With fun, interesting and visually understandable lessons for each age group, children quickly realize that if they want to take part in all activities, that they have to start speaking English. With a friendly and positive atmosphere in each lesson, language barriers quickly disappear.
Что мы предлагаем
Мы предлагаем детские программы для разных возрастных групп(от 3 до 12 лет), которые организованы в трех районах Киева. А также – летние лагеря в Украине ( для детей от 6 до 14 лет) и в США ( для детей от 6 до 17 лет, родители могут принять участие). We offer age-specific and level-appropriate courses in three different regions of Kiev. Our classes are for children from ages 3-12; as well as a “summer camp” in Ukraine (ages 6 to 14) and in the USA (ages 6-17, also accompanied by a parent).
