βœ… There = a place
Example: The book is over there.

βœ… They're = they are
Example: They're happy today.

But native speakers say:

Why?

In English, we use the verb to be when talking about age.

More examples:
βœ”οΈ She is 12 years old.
βœ”οΈ They are 45 years old.
βœ”οΈ How old are you?

"Your" vs. "You're" ✍️

These two words are often confused, but the difference is simple:

βœ… Your = shows ownership
Example: Your English is improving every day!

βœ… You're = short for you are
Example: You're doing a great job learning English!

πŸ’‘ Quick Trick:
If you can replace you're with you are and the sentence still makes sense, then you're is the correct choice.
