Починаючи з 24 лютого 2022 року екзаменаційний відділ Cambridge Club Authorised Exam Centre UA037 призупинив свою діяльність по прийому міжнародних іспитів через повномасштабну агресію з боку російської федерації.

Але ми, як і вся країна, не опустили руки та не стоїмо на місці, чекаючи на Перемогу, а невпинно наближаємо її 💪

З листопада минулого року, на прохання наших партнерів з усієї України, ми почали проводити пробні іспити та започаткували Cambridge Club Tutorials 👍
Цей проєкт виник під керівництвом Мартинюк Вероніки Адамівни – керівника підрозділу підвищення кваліфікації Чернівецької області, разом з нашими партнерськими школами у Чернівцях 🏫

З грудня 2022 року ми провели вже три такі онлайн заходи 🔥
Під час кожного заходу діти представляли свої презентаційні роботи для експертів з різних країн, використовуючи свої знання у різноманітних сферах публічної діяльності:
✔️ політика
✔️ біологія
✔️ фізика
✔️ музика тощо.

🥇 Декілька робіт були оцінені на найвищому рівні та наших дітей було запрошено до участі у міжнародних Tutorials, де вони здобули почесні перші місця.

12 травня ми організували великий захід у місті Чернівці на базі однієї з наших партнерських шкіл. У заході брали участь фіналісти з найкращими роботами, а також нові учасники з нових партнерських шкіл у Чернівцях.

👉Без уваги не залишись і вчителі англійської мови міста та області, для них був проведений майстер-клас з підготовки до міжнародних іспитів (тренер – Людмила Гуцуляк, засновниця мережі шкіл англійської мови у м. Чернівці та області Fiat Lux).

Substitution drill vs Transformation drill

✅In a substitution drill the teacher provides a sentence and a different word or phrase which the learner(s) must use (or substitute) in exactly the same structure, e.g.

👩‍🏫Teacher: I bought a book. Pen
👩‍💼Learner(s): I bought a pen.

✅In a transformation drill the teacher says a word or a sentence and the learner answers by changing the sentence into a new grammatical structure, e.g.

👨‍🏫Teacher: I bought a pen. Didn’t
💁‍♂️Learner: I didn’t buy a pen.
👨‍🏫Teacher: I went to the cinema. Didn’t
💁‍♂️Learner: I didn’t go to the cinema.

Writing Tips
Planning and organising a discursive essay
➖ Take a few minutes to plan your essay before you start writing. Planning helps you to focus your thoughts and organise your ideas in a clear and logical way.
➖ Make sure you have understood the topic before noting down some relevant ideas and the vocabulary you will need to discuss them.
➖ A discursive essay begins with an introduction where you clearly state the topic without copying directly from the prompt. In the main body your points should be clearly presented in separate paragraphs that begin with a topic sentence. Finally, in your conclusion you should summarise the main points of the essay.
➖ Use a formal and impersonal style.
➖ Use appropriate linking words and phrases to link paragraphs and the sentences within them.

Game “Blackboard Bingo” to revise vocabulary.

Procedure: Write on the board 10 – 20 words which you would like to review. Tell students to choose any 5 of them and put them down.

Read out the words, one by one and in any order. If the students have written down one of the words you call out they cross it off. When they have crossed off all their 5 words they tell you, by shouting “Bingo”.

Virtual Scavenger Hunt
Fun virtual indoor scavenger hunt idea for kids. Ask your students to find something at home:
➖ That makes them happy;
➖ That they made;
➖ With a face on it;
➖ With buttons;
➖ Made of wood;
➖ That smells nice;
➖ That starts with the first letter of their names;
➖ With numbers on it;
➖ With wheels etc.
Students demonstrate their found item, and if it is not clear why they chose that specific thing, they have an opportunity to share with the group why they chose that object.
