After a short break, it’s time to meet again.

This Saturday, we’re back to our regular ArtTalkers meeting:

🎤 Prepared speeches — listen, learn and support our speakers
⚡ Table Topics — practise speaking without preparation
💬 Evaluations — get useful feedback and learn from each other
🏆 Meeting awards — celebrate the best performances of the day

And, of course, some good conversations before and after the meeting.

That was our Contest Day at ArtTalkers.

Humorous speeches, spontaneous Table Topics, nerves, laughter, unexpected answers — and a room full of people genuinely supporting each other.

This Saturday, the stage belongs to our best storytellers. 🎤🏆

This Saturday, ArtTalkers is not having a regular meeting — we’re having a contest!

Our speakers will compete in two Toastmasters classics: Humorous Speeches and Table Topics, where contestants have to build a speech around an unexpected question with almost no time to prepare.

And you don’t have to compete. Just come.

Come to watch great speakers, get inspired, laugh, experience Toastmasters from the audience — and meet some genuinely interesting people afterwards.

When Anna Umanets was 12, she walked onto a frozen lake knowing the ice might not be safe. She fell through, and her friend pulled her out.

Anna says she is more careful now. But every now and then, she still goes where she knows she probably shouldn’t.

On only her third visit to ArtTalkers, she was asked to become Treasurer. She was surprised — and said yes. Apparently, some patterns stay with us.

Anna loves running, independent cinema, travelling, subtle humour and difficult conversations. Give her a challenging audience and uncomfortable questions, and she will probably enjoy the experience.

But lately, she has been thinking about a much harder question: what does happiness actually mean to her? Not the standard answer — her own.

She originally came to ArtTalkers to improve her English. She stays for the people: different professions, different views, different lives — people she might never have met otherwise.
