The fact that in May of 2001 Marcel Marceau, the outstanding French mime-actor held a master-class inside the walls of Kyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts is the proof of the high level of subject instruction.The Chair has developed and has been working out in practice an original methodology of mime-actor education, which is based on Etienne Decroux`s pantomime school methods, K.S.Stanislavsky system and modern domestic achievements in this field. The basis of training is formed by classical and traditional pantomime, which gives the opportunity to create an original graduation number in combination eith other kinds of arts. The Chair`s graduates work in circus and variety groups of Ukraine and abroad.The teachers of the Chair constantly conduct activity to search young talented people and train them into competent professionals. The Chair`s students practicing such basic disciplines as acting, acrobatics, original juggling, dancing, modern variety dancing, plastique of movement and other gives them the opportunity to fulfill themselves practically in any field of variety art.
