One more time, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our amazing KIS community - students, parents, teachers, and staff - for your energy, support, and dedication throughout the year. You make KIS such a special place to learn and grow.
We can’t wait to welcome everyone back in August for another exciting year ahead!

Every Kozak summer has its traditions.
The final days of school bring sunshine, laughter, and one of the greatest Kozak traditions of all: softball on the field.
Kozaks big and small are stepping up to the plate, some things never change. The Kozak spirit is alive and well.
Friends become teammates. Teachers become competitors. Students become fans. And for a few innings, the whole community comes together.
Because no matter where life takes us, there will always be Kozak pride, Kozak tradition, and Kozak softball.
Go Kozaks. ⚾️💙💛

Admissions for the 2026–2027 school year are open at Kyiv International School.
Choosing a school is about much more than academics - it’s about finding a place where your child is truly seen, supported, challenged, and inspired to grow.
At KIS, we combine a Mastery Learning approach, ensuring students build deep understanding before moving forward, with a rigorous and future-focused academic pathway. Our students can pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, as well as Advanced Placement (AP) courses and the AP Diploma, offering flexibility and academic challenge tailored to each learner’s goals in addition to the standard international diploma.
Learning at KIS happens in a safe, supportive, and well-prepared environment. Our campus includes a fully equipped safety shelter with dedicated classrooms, ensuring continuity of learning and student wellbeing in all circumstances.
Beyond academics, students become part of a warm, caring international community that nurtures curiosity, confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
We warmly invite families to discover what makes KIS a place to feel like home, learn, and truly thrive.
Join our community. Your journey starts here.

Week Without Walls is one of KIS's most anticipated annual traditions, giving students the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom through hands-on experiences, outdoor adventures, cultural exploration, and team-building activities. These trips encourage independence, resilience, leadership, and meaningful connections with peers while creating unforgettable memories. Whether exploring nature, discovering new places, or taking on exciting challenges, students develop valuable life skills through real-world learning experiences while having a real fun.

On days and nights like these in Ukraine, when uncertainty and challenge become part of our everyday reality, Kyiv International School is never alone.
We are held, supported, and strengthened by something greater than ourselves — the global QSI family, a network of schools that spans continents but stands united in purpose, values, and care. In these moments, distance disappears, and what remains is connection, solidarity, and unwavering support.
We were recently deeply honored to welcome QSI President Mrs. Karen Hall and her husband Mr. Tim Hall who visited KIS during this particularly challenging time. Their presence was more than a visit — it was a powerful reminder that our school is seen, valued, and never forgotten. We are equally grateful to Mr. Luke Woodruff, our Regional Supervisor, whose visit reflected steady leadership, compassion, and true commitment to our community.
And today, after a difficult night, life at KIS continued — as it always does. Students and staff arrived at school with resilience and purpose. Some of our students set off for their Week Without Walls journey to the Carpathians and local areas, embracing learning beyond the classroom, while others continued their studies here on campus.
In every classroom, every corridor, and every shared moment, there is quiet strength — a determination not to pause, but to continue building, learning, and growing together.
We are profoundly grateful: to our students, our staff, our families, and our global QSI community. Despite all challenges, KIS remains committed to its mission — to provide high-quality international education and to continue shaping a brighter, more hopeful future for our students and for Ukraine.
Because KIS is more than a school. It is a community. It is a family. And in every sense, it is home.

The forest has spoken… and our Kozactors were magnificent.
We are so proud to share that the video of our collaborative devised production, Baba Yaha - Three Tales of The Forest - is now up on YouTube!
This show was created through imagination, courage, collaboration, movement, storytelling, and a whole lot of Kozak heart. Our incredible Kozactors built a world together one full of mystery, mischief, magic, bravery, and belonging and they did it with such focus, joy, and generosity.
From the tiniest forest creatures to the boldest storytellers, every student brought something essential to the stage. This was not just a performance; it was a celebration of ensemble theatre, student creativity, Ukrainian-rooted storytelling, and the amazing things young people can make when they trust each other and take creative risks.
We could not be prouder of these young artists.

🎶 KIS Middle School Band Concert Highlights
On Tuesday, May 26, the KIS Auditorium came alive as our Middle School students performed in the first band concert at KIS in many years — a true celebration of growth, dedication, and new beginnings.
The afternoon featured performances by the 12YO Band, both 13YO Bands, and the after-school Kozak Ensemble. Many students began the year with no prior musical experience and have since grown into confident performers on stage.
From With Honor and Praise! to Tambora!, each performance showcased remarkable progress, teamwork, and musical expression.
A heartfelt thank you to our students, teachers, and the KIS community for making this milestone event possible.
Congratulations to all performers on a fantastic concert and a successful musical journey! 🎵

International Night is always one of the most loved and anticipated events of the school year at KIS — and this year, it went even beyond the traditional celebration by bringing together an exciting Art Festival and Open House experience! 🌍✨
The evening was filled with energy, creativity, and community spirit from beginning to end. Our talented school band opened the ceremony with a wonderful performance, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable celebration.
One of the most meaningful moments of the night was the traditional Flag Parade, where students proudly carried the flags of their home countries, representing the many nationalities and cultures that make our school community so special. It was a beautiful reminder of the diversity, unity, and international spirit we celebrate at KIS.
Guests also enjoyed vibrant performances by the Barvynok ensemble, who not only showcased traditional dance but also invited everyone to join in and dance together — creating joyful moments shared across cultures and generations.
Throughout the evening, families and visitors explored a variety of exciting workshops, talented local vendors, student artwork, and engaging activities. And of course, International Night would not be complete without the incredible selection of delicious dishes representing cuisines from around the world! 🍲🌎
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every student, parent, staff member, performer, volunteer, vendor, and guest who helped make this event such a success. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and support turned International Night into a truly memorable celebration of community and culture.
Thank you for being part of this special evening — we are already looking forward to next year! ❤️
