Stonehenge, Wiltshire
One of the most prehistoric structures in all of Europe, Stonehenge dates back to c. 3000 BC. The ring of stones has puzzled scientists and archaeologists, and no one still knows what it was used for. It is believed to have been erected as a place of worship, but today it is one of the best places in UK as it attracts a major chunk of tourists to this place.

It is surrounded by mountain peaks and villages, including Bowness-on-Windermere. It also holds the place for being the largest natural lake in England. Definitely a great place to explore with family and friends!

The Rock of Cashel
One of Tipperary County's main attractions is the Rock of Cashel, towering on an emerald hill. Its oldest part, the round tower, 28 meters high, dates back to 1100. Initially, it was built without mortar and many centuries later, it was fortified with cement. The Rock of Cashel complex also includes the Cormac's Chapel, erected in the XII century. It is notable for its arches, towers, richly decorated facade and ancient frescoes.
The history of the rock is closely connected with Saint Patrick, who baptized King Eogan here in the V century. Also, according to one of the versions, it was here that the saint was ripped off the trefoil, which became one of Ireland's Christian symbols. There is an interesting artifact museum in this Irish castle, where the items found in this area are exhibited.
