Ukrainian sustainable brand SOLO for diamonds has become a partner of BE SUSTAINABLE! Fashion Summit. The brand’s mission is to create a new perspective on diamond jewelry through the lens of conscious choice. It is a deep philosophy, modern vision, and conciseness in details.

SOLO diamonds are grown at the Ukrainian Alkor-D factory. It is the largest manufacturer in Europe, which supplies ethical stones for world-famous jewelry brands.

“For the SOLO for diamonds brand, we chose laboratory-grown diamonds. They are completely identical to those mined from the ground, but they do not cause wars and do not destroy ecosystems, which means they are ethical. The only difference between mined and laboratory diamonds is their origin.

Instead of explosions and conflicts – clean technological processes. Laboratory diamonds are a work of nature, perfected by man, to save the planet”, – the brand’s founder Julia Kusher notes.

Each SOLO for diamonds product is the embodiment of a new worldview, consciousness, aesthetics, and technology.

Let’s close the circle of corporate upcycling!

Yulia Postushna’s new capsule collection “Go Circle” is the result of DHL Express Ukraine collaboration. The collection was created from used DHL uniform — both fabric and accessories — to minimize waste. Each thing in the wardrobe carries the mood of city life: fast, dynamic, and contrasting. DHL Express Ukraine constantly promotes the principles of sustainability, in particular — corporate upcycling. Used things should not become another factor of environmental pollution.

The purpose of Yulia Postushna’s cooperation with DHL is not only to create a new product based on the existing one but also to develop a functioning cycle where all processes will have a circular production system. “Circular fashion is a kind of reboot for the environment. We allow the planet to rest from a pile of waste. It may sound too ambitious but it is a chance to restore the balance between nature and humanity”, Yuliya Postushnaya said.

Ukrainian footwear brand Marsala Official has developed the first line of sandals for the SS22 collection made from innovative Mexican leather DESSERTO.

The brand’s designer Maria Masliy has been deeply studying the topic of conscious fashion for four years. It is reflected in the history of the MARSALA brand. The team does not overproduce, customizes most of the orders, creates classic designs that can live in the wardrobe for many seasons, and makes high quality shoes that last a long time. Today, the brand goes further in creating a more environmentally friendly product.

It was a four-year search during which many alternative materials were tested. For example, pineapple skin did not look good. Then the innovative “cactus skin” was chosen. It is very difficult to work with such materials, but the Ukrainian brand succeeded in a thousandth attempt.

DESSERTO Mexican leather is the world’s first highly resistant and environmentally friendly organic material from the Nopal cactus, known as prickly pear. It is produced in a wide variety of colors, width, and textures.

The MARSALA SS22 collection will include 20 models that will be released in spring 2022.
