As a result of construction there were many peripheries, it was completed in a slightly simplified vision, but the picture of how the palace looks before the destruction is not ours, so I can see how it is now.

Well, on the other side of the bridge, there is a bust of the palace architect - Bartholomew Rastrelli! The palace appeared here by order of Duke Ernst Johan Biron in 1738.

Climbing the bridge from the side standing, we meet a bust of the founder of Mitava - Master Conrad von Mandern (of the Livonian Order). By his order, in 1265 between the rivers Driksa and Lielupe built a wooden castle called Mitovsky, from which came the ancient title of Jelgava - Mitava.

Jelgava is the 4th most populous city in Latvia (population about 60,000), the city was founded in 1226 and was originally called Mitava. The city was the capital of the Duchy of Courland and until the Second World War was a very beautiful place with a rich architectural heritage!
