Question tags (Розділові питання)
Розділові питання або питання ‘з хвостиком’ це короткі питання, які додаються до кінця речення коли ми хочемо з’ясувати чи згоден з нами наш співрозмовник або ми в чомусь не до кінця впевнені і хочемо уточнити якусь інформацію.
She’s gorgeous, isn’t she?
He is a doctor, isn’t he?

Розділові питання утворюються за допомогою допоміжних чи модальних дієслів та займенника відповідно до особи вказаній в основному реченні. Допоміжне дієслово в хвостику залежить від часу в основному реченні.

Якщо основне речення позитивне, то “хвостик” зазвичай негативний:
You have already been to this café, haven’t you?
They made a formal complaint, didn’t they?

Якщо основне речення негативне, то “хвостик” зазвичай позитивний:
Olivia can’t swim, can she?
You aren’t going to reduce the price, are you?

Конструкція to have something done
Використовується для вираження дій, які ми виконуємо не самостійно, а замість нас їх виконує хтось інший (часто професіоналом в певній сфері та за певну платню).

Також така конструкція може передавати значення небажаної дії, що сталася з людиною (пограбування, аварія тощо).

Для того, щоб утворити речення з цією конструкцією, необхідний підмет, після якого стоїть дієслово to have в потрібній формі, далі вживається прямий додаток (об'єкт, над яким відбувається дія) та смислове дієслово в третій формі (Past Participle).
I had my shoes repaired.
Jane wants to have her hair coloured.
Mr. Jenkins had his shop robbed last night.

The Passive
Ми використовуємо Passive коли ми більше зацікавлені в дії, ніж в її виконавці:
This bank has been robbed three times.
Проте, якщо ми хочемо згадати виконавця дії, ми використовуємо by:
The bank was robbed by three men.
Ми утворюємо Passive за допомогою відповідної часової форми дієслова to be та Past Participle (третьої форми смислового дієслова):
The robbers will be arrested soon.
The robbers have been arrested.
The robbers were arrested last night.

Defining relative clause
Це складне речення, в якому другорядна (залежна) частина містить важливу та необхідну інформацію про людину, річ чи місце, без якої основне речення не буде мати жодного сенсу. Таке речення не розділяється комами.
В defining relative clause ми використовуємо такі відносні займенники:

• who коли говоримо про людину:
This is the teacher who teaches my class.

 • which коли говоримо про річ:
Is this the laptop which you ordered?

• where коли говоримо про місце:
We’re going to visit the school where my mum taught for twenty years.

Future forms
Щоб говорити про майбутнє ми можемо використовувати : Present Simple, Present Continuous, Future Simple та be going to + infinitive.

·      Ми використовуємо Present Simple коли говоримо про заплановані події в майбутньому:
в розкладі, графіку чи телепрограмі:
Lunch break starts at 12:30 and finishes at 13:30.

·      Ми використовуємо Present Continuous коли говоримо про заплановані домовленості в майбутньому – ми зазвичай вказуємо час, дату, людей чи місце:
I’m seeing my doctor tomorrow at 10am.
•Ми використовуємо Future Simple:
коли говоримо про спонтанні рішення, які були зроблені під час розмови
Wait for me. I’ll help you peel the carrots.

Коли робимо передбачення на майбутнє:
I think he’ll win the elections.
·  Ми використовуємо be going to + infinitive коли говоримо про:
Майбутні наміри:
What are you going to prepare for dinner?

Коли робимо передбачення на майбутнє – яке базується на тому, що ми бачимо чи знаємо:
Look! The man is going to fall!

Another, other, the other, the others
* Another (ще один/інший) is used with singular nouns or the pronoun one:

* Other (інший) is used with plural countable nouns, uncountable nouns or the pronoun ones:

Third Conditional
We use Third Conditional sentences to talk about possible events in the past that did not happen. We often use them to express regret or criticism.
If I had worn a helmet, I wouldn’t have got hurt so badly during the fall.
Would you have reached the top earlier if you had chosen a different route?

We use the Past Perfect in the if-clause. In the main clause, we use would/wouldn’t + have + the Past Participle of the main verb.
If you had told me about the meeting, I would have come.
If I hadn't eaten so much, I wouldn't have felt sick
