Игры - это пустая трата времени на уроке?
Играть должны только дети?
Именно благодаря играм на уроке я влюбилась в английский язык, когда каждый урок наша преподавательница придумывала что-то новенькое, чтобы мы запомнили Present Simple / Present Continuous 🤩

What to do if you want to start learning Russian
1. Understand your goal - if you don’t know why you need it, you will quickly lose motivation. Consider what you want to achieve, why it's important, the time you can dedicate, and the necessary steps to reach your goal.
2. Find a good teacher - Investing in a proficient teacher is one of the most valuable decisions you can make. A teacher will save your time, give you knowledge that any book or video can’t.
3. Learn Russian regularly - unfortunately, any teacher or another great book can’t help you if you learn a language rarely. Every day you take baby steps to attain what you want. Here constancy is a key.
4. Do all tasks that your teacher gives and even more: here you have to take responsibility and besides lessons, do something to improve your level (we all know what to do but we don’t do it)
5. Analyze your achievements and praise yourself. This step is usually skipped because people don’t consider it essential.BUT! At the beginning you can come across many obstacles that can slow down your learning and you can even be disappointed in yourself. That’s why you should rejoice in even the smallest achievements: how well you pronounce new words, how you construct sentences on your own, and how you write words without mistakes.
If you are a beginner, I am waiting for you at my group lessons.

I have collected the most practical and engaging tasks that I really enjoy to use during the lesson
🌱 Matching - this is the easiest task but really useful because students can quickly recall all words that they know and guess others. It can be a test / words with definitions / sentences with new words.
🌱 Filling the gaps is very helpful in understanding how words work in context, reviewing conjugations, cases, etc.
🌱Describing pictures - I like when students describe their own photos and recall good moments from their life. Usually I give the same task for homework as for writing or speaking.
🌱 Rewriting - a great exercise where students have to think a lot! There are different types. One variant - I give a sentence with underlined words and students have to paraphrase it to use new vocabulary but at the same time not change its meaning. Another - I give sentences with mistakes and students have to spot them.
🌱 Completing the sentences & Writing your own sentences - these tasks are not easy but very effective because you improve your productive skills (writing / speaking). Students don’t like it too much because it takes time to create sentences and you really have to stretch your brain!
🌱 Tasks are based on audio / text - I find adapted materials where new vocabulary is used. It can be podcasts, short dialogues, or my own text. Based on these materials, I create different variations of tasks: tests, True or False sentences, and answering questions. Students can improve their respective skills (listening and reading).
🌱 Storytelling - this is for high levels and one of my favorite tasks. Students work in a group to create a dialogue based on comics or they describe metaphoric cards . When we create a story we not just learn words but we can broaden our horizons a lot and improve critical thinking.
🌱 Something just for fun: wordsearch, unscramble words, describe a word but not name it (“Alias”) - these tasks are also good because it's important to add something relaxing and fun during the lesson. Such exercises can help lighten the atmosphere in the classroom

These verbs can be tricky for learners of all levels, that's why I've decided to «разложить все по полочкам»
Remember one important thing - learn verb pairs because verbs of the imperfective aspect can be the same, but the perfective aspect will be a completely different verb.
🌱 изучать - изучить (to learn, to study) + Acc: acquiring comprehensive knowledge about a subject or field (изучать языки/математику/проект/биологию/химию/психологию)
Моя дочь изучает французский язык в школе, чтобы в будущем работать в международной компании.
🌱 учить - выучить (to learn) + Acc: when you acquire knowledge or skills (учить новые слова /стихотворение / песню / правило)
Ты уже выучил таблицу умножения?
🌱 учить - научить (to teach)
кого? (Acc) + inf: Мой отец научил меня готовить пасту по-итальянски.
кого? (Acc) + noun (Dat.): Мой отец научил меня математике.
🌱 учиться (to study)
- где? (Prep): Я учусь в лицее.
- как? (adverb): Они учатся очень плохо.
🌱 учиться - научиться + inf: learning or acquiring a skill (учиться петь / танцевать / правильно говорить / водить машину / выступать на публике)
Где ты научилась так красиво петь?

The most common mistakes in learning Russian cases
1. You want to learn all endings and exceptions at once. Grammar information can get stuck in your mind when you take baby steps. Remember, when you were a kid. First, you crawled on all fours, then you started walking a little bit. Kids learn how to eat, speak with exploring life from different sides. The same goes for learning a new language. You start learning a foreign language like a baby: rom the very basics to the more complicated aspects.
2. A big delusion is when you only focus on learning endings and think that it's enough. Cases are a significant topic in Russian grammar. They involve rules, exceptions, vocabulary, listening, reading, context, and speaking. Everything is connected. Knowing the endings doesn't mean that you know the cases.
3. Confusing with usage. There are many rules and situations to navigate, and it takes time and effort to deal with these issues. It can be especially challenging when you're learning Russian on your own and don't have a teacher who can quickly provide clear explanations.
4. Preposition usage. Each case often requires specific prepositions to convey accurate meaning and grammatical correctness. However, there are situations where prepositions may not be necessary.
5. Ignoring exceptions. While it's natural to focus on general rules and patterns, it's important to acknowledge and study exceptions as well. It obviously helps you to be ready if you come across a new ending or new grammar construction.
6. Lack of speaking practice. Speaking allows learners to apply the rules of Russian cases in real-time communication and use cases in various contexts.
If you are tired of stumbling over the intricate nuances of the prepositional case, you are welcome to the course 🔥Mastering the Prepositional case🔥

TIPS to remember new vocabulary
First, I want to say that you have to be patient while learning new words. Sometimes you need more time, more effort, but the sky is the limit. There are useful tips that can help you to memorize new vocabulary faster and really stick in your mind for a long time:
🎯Learn words in a context (books, articles, videos with subtitles, chatting with natives, etc.). You have to see how natives use them naturally and in what situations it is better to use them.
🎯Use them a lot in your speech. This is a good expression in English: "use it or lose it" - if you don’t use something regularly, you can forget it. My advice is to write down new expressions (approximately 10 words / phrases) in your notebook and when you have a lesson with a teacher, you need to push yourself to use them as much as you can during the lesson.
🎯Avoid learning a lot of words at the same time. It is better to learn fewer words but really memorize them.
🎯Regularly review. Review, review, and review again!
🎯Find your way to learn words. Some students like making flashcards, some write words on stickers and put them everywhere in the house. Other students like making mind-maps, writing stories, and writing posts. There are a lot of things that you can do. Your goal is to try different activities and choose what works best for you.
The last important thing - be observant. Explore new words. Every new expression can help you understand the language and culture better 🎯

HOW IMMERSION HELPS TO LEARN A LANGUAGE
Today, the grammar-translation approach doesn’t work because just memorising new words isn’t enough to speak your target language (TR).
Immersion helps you to “feel” how natives use their mother tongue, unless you live in an environment where that language is used.
A teacher inspires you to use only TR at the lesson and creates for you different activities that imitate real - life situations. Language immersion helps you to learn TR naturally, allows you to rethink the view of TR, and study cultural characteristics.
Where can you get an unforgettable experience: when you sit at home and watch travel shows or pack your luggage and travel around the world? I believe, you know the right answer.
You are welcome to my GROUP LESSONS where we will immerse ourselves in Russian completely!

HOW TO SPEAK RUSSIAN WITH CONFIDENCE
Boosting your confidence when speaking Russian can be challenging, but there are several things you can do to help overcome your fear:
1. Practice a lot! You have to practice new materials until you feel that you can use them automatically and don't waste the luxury of time to think before speaking.
2. Make mistakes but analyze them. Making mistakes is a natural part of the language learning process, and it's how you'll learn and improve.
3. Listen to native speakers. Watching movies, listening to music, watching TV shows help you to become more familiar with the language.
4. Have someone who can help you. Teacher is a person who supports you, promotes self-esteem. Thanks to a teacher, you can be sure if you say something right or wrong.

How can podcasts help you to learn a language?
📌Listening practice: you are getting used to hear natives and understand different accents, find out words that you have already known.
📌Vocabulary Expansion: learn useful words / expressions for everyday conversations.
📌Immersion: your brain starts thinking in the target language, you can understand better cultural characteristics and have some new insights about the current topic.
My recommendations 👇
1. "Русская дача"
I really like to use these podcasts while creating lessons. Every podcast has a small dialogue about the specific topic. After this, a teacher explains some difficult words / phrases, gives some examples, how to use them in different contexts.
2. "Russian Twist"
Teachers discuss very topical questions such as achievements, motivation in learning a foreign language, how to speak as a native speaker, etc.
One of the founders of this podcast is a Russian teacher who is originally from England. Tom speaks Russian perfectly, and shares his ideas that can help you to avoid the most common mistakes in learning a language.
3. "Russian progress"
It is not only podcasts but also real videos! I like this guy - easy-going, has great thoughts about different topics.
