Do you need a language certificate to study in Ukraine?

The answer is: not always.

Language requirements depend on the university, your chosen program and the language of instruction. In some cases, an accepted certificate may be required. In others, students may confirm their level through a language test, an online interview or previous education completed in the chosen language.

If your current level is not sufficient, a preparatory course may help you improve your English or Ukrainian and get ready for your future study program.

Save this checklist before applying:
✓ Check the language of instruction
✓ Find out whether a certificate is required
✓ Ask which certificates are accepted
✓ Check whether a test or interview is available
✓ Find out whether you can start with a preparatory course

Requirements may differ even between programs at the same university, so always check the conditions for your specific case.
