Training for future volunteers

On February 17, training for prospective volunteers was held under the auspices of the HODA Department of Health to explain and discuss their follow-up activities to inform the public about vaccination.

University students will visit regional centers and hold meetings with the public to answer all questions and dispel community concerns about vaccination. The work is aimed at increasing the rates of vaccinated residents of the region and the general health of the nation.

Activists of the medical university have taken another step for a very important cause - raising awareness, and in the future vaccination of the population of the Kharkiv region.

Health Games have started

On January 20, the Health Sports Day started at KhNMU with the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization of Medical University Employees. The sports event is an annual and traditional event for our university and, in addition, covers a wide range of teachers who want to engage in physical culture and sports.
Chess players have started the competition - and we have the first winners of the Games. Among men, Vitaliy Gargin (Department of Pathological Anatomy) took the first place, Volodymyr Tregubov took second place (Department of Physical Education and Health), and Vadym Lesnyi took third place (Department of Surgery №2).

Among women, the prizes were won by: 1st place - Olena Kucherenko (Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases), 2nd place - Daria Kuzmina (Department of Human Anatomy), 3rd place - Alyona Honchar (Scientific Library).

Congratulations to the chess winners and participants of the competition and we wish them further sportsmanship!

The Student Masquerade Ball - 2021 took place

On December 2, the Kharkiv Palace Hotel hosted the Student Masquerade Ball 2021, which was attended by 18 universities in our city.

Students of the Medical University also took part in the enchanting event. They presented a dance number, during which they allowed the audience to immerse themselves in the tale of Maleficent. With the help of their images and choreographic design, the students created a real extravaganza.

Training of future medical service officers

At Kharkiv National Medical University, future reserve medical officers are trained according to NATO standards.

To this end, a special computer program has been developed and used in practical classes, which allows you to apply to the virtual map of hostilities modern combat and medical conditions, changes that occur during the transition from one type of combat to another.

Students learn to work out the issues of managing the actions of units and performing tasks during actions in the area of responsibility. Practical classes are held during the study of the course of tactical medicine under the guidance of teachers of the military department of Colonel of the Reserve Mykola Trotsenko and Lieutenant Colonel Yevhen Golov.

Representatives of KhNMU took part in the project "Development of medical education"

Representatives of the university are taking part in a 3-day congress of pilot institutions of the Ukrainian-Swiss project "Development of Medical Education", which began its work on October 6 in Lviv.

The program of the event includes the work of pilot institutions, project representatives, invited experts, and speakers on various aspects and areas of medical education, including the development of simulation technologies and simulation centers.
