SOCIAL PEDAGOGY
Profession “Social pedagogy” has been opened in 2008 and prepares specialists of the department 6.010106 “Social pedagogy”.
Activity of social pedagogue is aimed at strengthening positive features and correcting negative features of social development of personality. Social pedagogue gives scientifically proved recommendations to parents and pedagogues regarding educational problems, helps to solve conflicts, provides psychological and pedagogical work with children, teenagers who have problems in social life.
Graduates of this department can work:
· at teaching and educational institutions;
· at institutions which activity is connected with education or personal correction.
INTERPRETER-GUIDE
Profession “Interpreter-guide” opened in 2007 prepares specialists of the department 6.020303 “Philology (Interpretation)”.
The department “interpreter-guide” has been opened for the first time in Ukraine and is supported by the Donetsk Mayor O. Lukyanchenko aiming to provide specialists for the Euro-2012 championship.
A student has an excellent opportunity to learn two foreign languages (the third one is optional), all kinds and genres of translation (journalistic, scientific and technical, economical translation and interpretation), excursion and museum science, regional geography and culture of Ukraine, England, France, Germany and Spain, computer science, sociology and History of foreign literature. It is planned for the first time to prepare future simultaneous interpreters. During their study students do practical work as interpreters, guides and teachers in various companies and educational institutions of Donetsk. After completing the course specialists:
PSYCHOLOGY
DIPT has been fulfilling the preparation of students of the department 6.030102 “Psychology” since its foundation. The separate profession “Psychology” was opened in 1996.
The profession of psychologist is one of the most important and promising in the modern society. Students get universal theoretical and practical knowledge, master methods of psychological diagnostics and personality correction as well as methods of individual and group psychological assistance, system of professional psychological selection.
After complete course specialist in psychology is trained to:
· advisory activity in psychology;
· pedagogical activity at institutes of higher education;
· provide psychological assistance and psychological
· support of industrial, educational, social and other fields;
provide personnel selection and adaptation;
· carry out applied researches and developments in the field of humanitarian problems.
Graduates of this department can work:
· at public institutions (public administrations, Ministries, departments, commercial institutions);
· at all institutions which deal with social and psychological assistance, professional psychological selection in centers of psychological diagnostics and correction;
· in centers of practical psychology and social services.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
DIPT has been fulfilling the preparation of specialists of the department 6.030601 “Management” since its foundation. The separate profession “Business Management” was opened in 1996.
Profession of manager is one of the most important because of its influence on activity of commercial institutions and processes in the market economy.
Students learn to make the decisions on their own, to be initiative, to take an active stand, to be able to start and run their own business.
After complete course specialist in business management can work at institutions which activity is connected with:
production control and personnel administration;
can work as an interpreter;
are able to organize their own excursions for national and foreign tourists.
PRIMARY EDUCATION
Profession “Primary education” opened in 2007 provides specialists of the department 6.010102 “Primary education”.
Students get fundamental preparation in Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy, Ukrainian folk Pedagogy, Psychology, Physiology, Anatomy and Hygiene of junior pupils, innovation pedagogical theories and technologies.
Graduates of the department “Primary education” can work as:
a teacher of primary school;
a teacher in nursery schools;
a tutor;
a practical psychologist at educational institutions.
PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION
Profession “Pre-school education” opened in 2007 provides specialists of the department 6.010101 “Pre-school education”.
Graduates of the department “Pre-school education” can work as:
a teacher of foreign language in nursery schools;
a teacher in nursery schools;
a tutor and a teacher;
a secretary with knowledge of foreign language.
JOURNALISM
Profession “Journalism” opened in 2007 provides specialists of the department 6.030301 “Journalism”.
Students get fundamental preparation in theory and methods of journalism, culture science, theory and history of literature, culture of speaking and practical stylistics, computer science, economics and mass media, foreign languages.
Author`s individuality of the future journalist is expressed in creative studios, laboratories, studios which are led by chief journalists of region.
THE UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE
Profession “The Ukrainian language and literature” opened in 2007 provides specialists of the department 6.020303 “The Ukrainian language and literature”.

financial management and financial provision;
logistics and its subdivisions.
Graduates of he department “Business Management” can take up a post as:
head and principal specialist of functional subdivisions in state run public and local institutions
head of subdivisions in commercial services, in wholesale and retail;
head of small and medium business, branches.
SOCIAL SERVICES
Profession “Social services” was opened in 2003. It prepares specialists of the department 6.030101 “Social services”.
Students get skills and experience necessary for qualified primary analytical work in the field of industry, education, health protection, family, culture and IT. They master main methods of social researches and study public opinion.
After complete course specialist in social services is prepared for:
making applied researches in the sphere of humanitarian and social problems;
activity in public administration;
providing professional assistance in production, educational, social and other fields.
Graduates of this department can work:
at all institutions which deal with social and psychological assistance, professional psychological selection;
at political and public institutions;
in advertising agencies;
in social and psychological divisions which provide communication processes, hire personnel, optimize relationships in groups/collectives;
in executive bodies;
in local government bodies.
