Despite the desolation, the city has a glorious history. Once upon a time, the number of its inhabitants reached 800, and Rita Angus herself painted the Cass railway station!

In the best times, the population of Monovi did not exceed one and a half hundred people. But, you won’t believe it, and then it would be among our ten smallest cities on the planet, though it was no longer in the first place.
