ZU STRENGTHENS INTERNATIONAL TIES THROUGH IKSAD VISIT

Zanzibar University (ZU) is honoured to host a delegation from the IKSAD Institute of Türkiye during a courtesy visit at the Open and Distance Learning Centre, University Main Campus, Tunguu on 2 June 2026.

This official visit aimed at strengthening academic and institutional collaboration between the two institutions.
The discussions focused on expanding areas of cooperation, including staff and student exchange programmes, joint research initiatives, participation in international conferences and workshops, and the sharing of academic expertise and best practices.

"The meeting reflects a shared commitment to fostering global partnerships that enhance teaching, research, and innovation," said Dr. Mustafa Latif Emek, the President of IKSAD Institute.

On the other hand, Dr. Mamudu Daffay, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic, Research and Consultancy from Zanzibar University has said, the University positions itself as internationally and it is committed towards local, regional and global ties in regards to the National agenda 2050, as well University’s Strategic Plan 2030.
