As a Co-founder and Executive Director of Green Livelihood for Century Development and on behalf of Commonwealth Youth Council and the young people of Mwanza-Tanzania, Village of Hope Center, my fellow staff and change-makers of the commonwealth community, I take this opportunity to share my thoughts with the commonwealth community of 52 States while inviting my fellow youth to the "Peace Building Commonwealth Community" and to continue creating the better life for all.
This year, the celebrations of Commonwealth Day has special significance for Peace Building Commonwealth Community in every 52 countries and beyond; for we celebrate not only the great achievements and victory of the past but the opportunities of the future that's also people centered participation within our commonwealth community.
we will celebrate this day at Village of hope center which is an orphanage center in Mwanza Nyegezi on Monday 13th March from 12.00PM (EDT). We will plant trees mostly fruits which demonstrate very well the peace building journey and strong community. Also with us we have one Olive tree to mark the beggining of our partnership with Commonwealth Youth council but also the Implemtation of "I am Able" project for 18 months. The olive has been used as a symbol of peace, food and sustainable progress but also fighting back the climate crisis in our community.
I believe the dimensions of our problems and challenges we face today we can overcome by imagination and involving youth in decision making processes.To meet these problems will also requires the efforts not only of our leaders or few organizations we have partnered with but the combined efforts of all of our people regardless of their disabilities and income level.
In my own village of Dofa-Karatu, the battle for Peace and strong community was begun by the thousands of youth and students who were ready to defend their Peace and rights. Today we need a commonwealth of people centered participation and which gives priority to youth who can stand in the forefront of commonwealth community for the "Peace Building Commonwealth Community" and more great sustainable success as we also implements the global goals. But also creating the youth who regards the preservation of freedom as a basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for the strong commonwealth community. The cause of Peace, the cause of Commonwealth, cannot succeed with any lesser effort. It is our efforts and commitments which makes strong commonwealth Community. The same efforts and concerns can also determine the success or failure.
I strongly encourage all the actors who say that commonwealth community comes before their personal interests to collaborate, because it is now that we must decide the protection of our peace and creating opportunities for prosperous community.
Through this thought, I invite every member of green livelihood for century development,volunteers, Partners and staff of gecoso enterprises (T) Ltd, to get involved and show a willingness to create peace building community together with the pride of being True Partnership. I invite civil society organizations, the private sector and international institutions to work with us and their efforts will move on forward the dreams of our community.
