From Nursery to Year 12, the MIS journey is one of transformation, and Mish’al and Dheer’s stories capture that beautifully.

Mish’al reflects on how a supportive environment of friends and teachers has shaped her confidence and drive to succeed. Through careful balance, strong communication, and a passion for growth, she’s preparing to take her critical thinking skills into the future, while making the most of every opportunity MIS offers.

Dheer shares how his passion for global issues led him to Model United Nations, where he continues to sharpen his public speaking, teamwork, and leadership skills. For him, MIS is more than a school — it’s a community that motivates and uplifts.

The MIS Birding Club recently participated in a 2-day eBird & sound recording workshop with 12 Masters and Bachelor’s students from the Wildlife Management Department at Sokoine University of Agriculture.

Led by Aksh*ta Rabdiya from Nature Tanzania and Reuben Shallom (Year 12), the sessions focused on how to effectively use the eBird and Merlin apps, along with practical techniques for recording and analyzing bird sounds — contributing to the 2026 Big Year of African Sounds, a continent-wide initiative aiming to record over 1,800 bird species across 50+ countries. Nora Ayo (Year 7) from MIS was the youngest participant.

Field visits to the SUA Botanical Garden and Mbuyuni Farm Retreat made the experience even more rewarding — with an impressive total of 103 species recorded across 2 days, including several high-quality sound recordings uploaded.

We’re grateful to Nature Tanzania and Dr. Rija, Head of Department at SUA, for the opportunity to be part of this initiative.

This is your time to shine. Stay focused, find your calm, and trust in the effort you’ve put in.

We are incredibly proud of you already and wish you the very best as you begin your exams — you’ve got this! 💪✨

This , MIS students turned inspiration into action. 🌱🌍

With the 2026 theme "Our Power, Our Planet", each class came together to give back by planting young trees around the PJ’s Café picnic area, helping to refresh and green the space.

Students are also taking on the challenge of naming this special space, capturing the spirit of this year’s theme. The winning name will be proudly displayed, leaving a lasting mark on our campus.

Our power is in what we choose to do, together, for our planet. 💚

With the school term kicking off on Monday, MIS wasted no time diving into action with our Interhouse Gala yesterday! 🌊

Our four house teams went head-to-head in a variety of fun pool activities, from t-shirt relays and object collection to 25m sprints and canon relays. The energy and team spirit on display made it a fantastic start to the term.

A special shoutout to our who stepped up as marshals and swimming guides, supporting less confident swimmers and showing true leadership in and out of the pool. 👏

🏆 Final Results:

1st - Ruaha
2nd - Uluguru
3rd - Victoria
4th - Kilimanjaro

The day wrapped up with a fun and competitive staff relay race — the perfect finish to an action-packed day!

We are incredibly proud of our MIS Piranhas for their outstanding performance at the recent Mwanza Swim Club’s Isamilo Invitational Gala!

Every swimmer achieved at least one personal best — with many improving in every single race. A true reflection of their hard work, determination, and commitment.

Out of 14 swimmers, 9 returned home with medals, achieving:
🥇 3 Gold
🥈 7 Silver
🥉 17 Bronze
🏅 27 medals in total!

This placed MIS 5th overall out of 20 teams — a great achievement at such a competitive event.

Beyond the medals, it was the team spirit, resilience, and support for one another that truly stood out. The MIS Piranhas have made their mark in the north of Tanzania!

MIS had the pleasure of hosting Haven of Peace Academy for an fun day of friendly competition.

Students competed in volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and touch rugby — bringing grit, determination, and great sportsmanship to every match, even in the rain!

More than just competition, the day was about connection, new experiences, and community, with students building friendships and trying sports not often played in Morogoro.

With improved travel connections like the SGR, we’re excited about even more opportunities for collaboration and inter-school events ahead! 💫

Morogoro International School (MIS) students left their usual backpacks at home and brought creativity to campus for our annual "Anything But a Backpack Day".

Inspired by a trend rooted in the playful spirit of April Fool’s Day, MIS students were challenged to carry their school supplies in anything but a school bag… and they did not disappoint!

But beyond the fun, the day was about more than just creativity—it encouraged students to think differently and express their individuality. We can’t wait to see what next year brings! 🌟
