In Vatican's embrace, where shadows play,
A shepherd dwells, in robes of purest white,
Pope Francis stands, though frail and worn by day,
His spirit shines, a beacon through the night.
With gentle heart, he walks the sacred ground,
In St. Peter's Square, where faithful gather near,
Through trials faced, his strength in love is found,
A testament to hope that conquers fear.
O double pneumonia! Thou didst assail,
The pontiff’s breath with thine unyielding grasp;
Yet Massimiliano’s care did not fail,
With tender hands and wisdom’s soothing clasp.
“Thank thee,” he spoke with gratitude profound,
To Strappetti who stood steadfast and true;
In darkest hours when hope seemed lost and drowned,
A nurse’s love restored his vigor anew.
From Gemelli's halls to Casa Santa Marta’s grace,
The journey of recovery was fraught with strife;
Yet through each trial and every weary pace,
The bond of healer and healed breathed life.
On Easter morn beneath the sunlit skies,
He took his popemobile for all to see;
With joy ablaze reflected in his eyes,
He shared the gift of faith so fervently.
O faithful throng! With voices raised in song,
They hailed their shepherd who had risen strong;
For in his heart a love that could prolong—
The light of Christ amidst the world’s great wrong.
Though age may weigh upon his noble brow,
And health may falter like a fleeting breeze;
His spirit soars above each solemn vow—
A guiding star that brings the soul to ease.
In every prayer that whispers through the air,
Resilience blooms like flowers after rain;
For Pope Francis teaches us to care—
To find our strength amidst our deepest pain.
So let us honor this most holy man—
Who walks with grace upon this earthly sphere;
With every step he takes we understand—
Compassion reigns when hearts are free from fear.
O Massimiliano! Thy name shall be sung—
For thou art more than just a healer’s hand;
Thy presence speaks of love forever young—
A testament to faith across the land.
As seasons change and time doth swiftly flow,
May Pope Francis lead us evermore;
Through trials faced and blessings yet to show—
His legacy shall shine on heaven's shore.
Thus let us gather round in reverence deep—
To celebrate a life both brave and bright;
For in our hearts his teachings we shall keep—
A guiding flame through darkness into light.
