The Institute of Educational and Management Technologies (IEMT) was established in 1998 as an Academic and training unit responsible for support the Open University of Tanzania IET is in support of the national ICT policy mission statement which is
“To enhance nation-wide economic growth and social progress by encouraging beneficial ICT activities in all sectors through providing a conducive frame

work for investments in capacity building and in promoting multi-layered co-operation and knowledge sharing locally as well as globally.”

For this case IET is aiming at increasing access to information through ICT and support Ministries, Agencies, Institutions and Civil society’s organizations integrating ICT for development. Institute's Objectives
Support educational technologies activities in the Open University of Tanzania(OUT)
To conduct research on various Educational technologies
Carrying ICT related consultancies to the community and general public.
