Every year, 21 million girls aged 15 - 19 years in developing regions become pregnant🤰🏽and approx. 12 million girls give birth!
At Lulu Lab, we work to keep girls in school, by educating girls - and boys, about Reproductive Health and Sexual Rights.
Our solution? The Dilemma game 💚
An interactive edtech game that educates and engages users in learning about Comprehensive Sexual Education. The Dilemma game is based on relatable co-created dilemmas and learning flows with a gameplay that teaches users how decisions have consequences - and how one’s decisions may affect oneself and one’s education, friends or perhaps family.
The Dilemma game data shows how the Dilemma game makes users reflect about their current decisions, and reconsider their future decisions - also when making them in similar situations outside the screen 🍀
On a recent trip to East Africa, we asked our users what they learned from playing the Dilemma game: 20 of 20 users stated that they learned something new about and several users stated that they learned a lot of new things 🙏🏽

✨ Testimonials from a game test session in East Africa ✨
We recommend our local NGO partners to organise game sessions where the young users can play the Dilemma game in groups on a tablet.
Why? Since the very first tests of the Dilemma game, we discovered how this interactive digital game works as a dialogue tool - providing users with a language and a safe space to share their experiences and questions about difficult topics.
We were very happy to discover that the group facilitators’ notes from a recent continues to validate this.
