The Arts Out Loud Festival brought together crafts, music, food, and hands-on activities in a vibrant celebration of artistic talent. We were especially proud to see many of our students performing in the choir, band, and recorder groups during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. A joyful event that truly reflected the spirit of creativity within our community.

IST Secondary was transformed into the kingdom of Arendelle this past weekend as our Grade 6–10 students delivered three spectacular performances of Frozen.

After months of rehearsals, their hard work came together in a production that was ambitious, polished, and truly professional. We welcomed hundreds of guests over three nights, with many young audience members arriving dressed as Elsa and Anna, adding extra magic to the experience.

From cast to crew, our MYP students collaborated across year groups to create something unforgettable. Congratulations to all who made this icy spectacular a soaring success! ❄️✨

The 5th Annual Fringe Festival was a vibrant celebration of creativity, featuring a DP Visual Arts Exhibition followed by an inspiring lineup of theatrical and musical performances in the PAC. 🎭🎨

Our pool was buzzing with energy over the last couple of weeks as Grades 3–5 took to the water for our annual Swim Galas! 🏊‍♂️💦

Representing Nyati, Kifaru, Tembo, and Mamba, our students showcased not only their growing swimming skills but also incredible sportsmanship, determination, and school spirit. From first-time swimmers bravely completing their first race to confident athletes pushing for personal bests—every moment was worth celebrating.

We’re so proud of the progress, resilience, and confidence each child has built throughout this unit. Well done, swimmers! 👏

Is bias inevitable in the production of knowledge? Are some things unknowable? Should all knowledge be pursued—and who decides?

Earlier this year, our Grade 12 students explored these powerful questions through their TOK Exhibition. Each student selected a guiding question and examined it through three real-world objects, using them as lenses to uncover how knowledge is created, challenged, and understood.

The result was a collection of thoughtful commentaries that brought TOK to life—showcasing critical thinking, curiosity, and meaningful connections between theory and the real world.

Our Grade 10 Design students had a meaningful opportunity to connect with a local day care center through Service as Action. They engaged with the children, explored their learning environment, and received feedback on prototypes they developed for learning materials—gaining real-world insights from the people who will use their designs.

We were honored to welcome a visiting artist to our Secondary Campus at the International School of Tanganyika, where students explored the richness and diversity of art in Tanzania. From vibrant contemporary expressions to inspirations rooted in local culture and heritage, the session invited students to see how art tells stories, preserves identity, and connects communities. A truly inspiring exchange of creativity, perspective, and place.

From imagination to the stage 🚀
A couple of weeks ago, our Performing Arts Center came alive with Twiganauts and the Skyrocket! In just a short time, the incredible dedication of our student cast and the staff who supported them shone brightly on stage. Their creativity, teamwork, and courage to perform made this production a joyful celebration of learning through the arts.
At International School of Tanganyika, moments like these remind us how powerful collaboration and creativity can be.
