In April, Princess Zahra Aga Khan was welcomed at the Aga Khan Education Service, Tanzania by the Chief Executive Officer Dr Shelina Walli and Chairman of the Board Mr Shabir Abji.

During her visit to the school, Princess Zahra toured all three sections of the school and was briefed on the academics and the upgraded facilities at the school. She also visited a couple of classrooms and interacted with the students, teachers and administrative staff. Later on, she met with the student council and had insightful discussions on future facilities and programme upgrades. Before departing, Princess Zahra was presented with the gift of a painting made by students in Grade 6 titled, "An Expression of Love in Diversity".

Congratulations to our students from the Aga Khan Mzizima Secondary School, Dar es Salaam for their impressive performance at the World Scholars Cup (WSC)!

Seventeen students from Grade 7, 8 and 9 represented the school and won numerous medals individually, as well as trophies, beating students over 400 students from 14 schools across Tanzania and Kenya.

Additionally, one debate team, featuring Kartikey Goel, Armaanally Hasham and Shaurya Kumar, won first place in the senior division, winning the championship trophy.

We are overjoyed to present the exciting highlights of our most recent "Soma na Mti" tree-planting ceremony, which took place recently, at the Aga Khan Nursery & Primary School, Dar es Salaam.

Environment ambassadors from the Vice President's Office Union & Environment, along with the Chief Executive Officer of the Aga Khan Education Service, Tanzania, attended the ceremony, which featured musical performances emphasising the value of recycling and growing trees.

The new playground project, which was made using recycled materials, was presented by KG 3 pupils. ten fruit trees were planted, further demonstrating our dedication to a greener future. Teachers and students worked together to plant the trees 🌳🌳

Welcome back to our Alumni Engagement Series!

Today, we are featuring Mr Stephen Goyayi (Class of 1997), the head of information technology for the Workers Compensation Fund, Government of Tanzania. During his discussion with DP2 students Grayson Mndeme and Netsanet Abiyou, Mr Goyayi praised the school for how it contributed to his professional life.

When reflecting about any doubts he had in selecting a career and changing careers throughout his life, Mr Goyayi says, β€œI think it is a commitment; if you stay true to your commitment, work hard with dedication, you can achieve whatever you want.”
