Vi har i dag 79 elever fordelt på 8, 9 og 10. trinn samt 7 ansatte. 5 lærere, en kokk og en tilsynsmann. Scroll down for English version....
Formålet med skolen er å tilby en kostnadsfri og førsteklasses utdanning for de barna som ellers ikke hadde hatt mulighet til å ta secondary education (ungdoms-og videregående skole). Sluttmålet for opplæringen er å anspore den enkelte til å realisere seg se
lv på måter som også kommer fellesskapet til gode. Videre skal utdanningen ikke bare overføre lærdom, men også gi elevene kompetanse til å skaffe seg og vinne ny kunnskap. Utdanningen skal bygge på verdier som likeverd, ansvar for egne handlinger, toleranse, verdighet og respekt. Opplæringen skal også gi elevene mot til å gå løs på livet og gi dem et ønske om å bruke og utvikle det de lærer. Dette skal ivaretas gjennom dyrking av kreative evner, kritisk tenkning og søkende holdning. I tillegg legges det vekt på at elevene skal bli glad i naturen, bli bevisst på de interessekonflikter utviklingen skaper og være i stand til å handle ansvarsbevisst i denne situasjonen. Skolen skal bygges i Bagamoyo i Tanzania og være et tilbud til de lokale barna. Det er også et mål at skolen skal tilby helsesøsterordning gjennom at frivillige sykepleiere besøker skolen. The purpose of Zion School is to offer a free and superior education for the children who would not otherwise have been able to take secondary education. The ultimate aim of the education is to inspire the individual to realize their potential in ways that also serve the common good. Furthermore, the education will not only transmit learning, but also give students the skills necessary to acquire and attain new knowledge. The education must be based on values such as equality, responsibility for your actions, tolerance, dignity and respect. The training shall also provide students with the courage to take on life and give them a desire to use and develop what they learn. This is ensured through encouraging creativity, critical thinking and an inquiring attitude. The school will be built in Bagamoyo in Tanzania and be offered to the local children. It is also a goal that the school must offer health visitor scheme through volunteer nurses visiting the school.
