This 6 week long Summer School Program is situated in Arusha, Tanzania. It's a cooperation between The Department of Teacher Education at VIA University College, Denmark (VIA) and MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation at Arusha in Tanzania (TCDC). The module will consist of 4 weeks in school and 2 weeks of field work. The lessons are concerning:
- Cultural understanding through language
and education related context
- Project Planning and Management
- Social entrepreneurship and innovation
The last 2 weeks will primarily be field work which gives you experiences with the educational practice in the area
During your time in Arusha your accommodation will be in private housing in close proximity to the school, where you will stay in small groups. This gives you both the pleasure of experiencing a different culture at first hand in combination with the possibility of spending time with your friends from class. The tuition fee is 2000 US$. Travelling expenses is around 900 US$ from Europe to Kilimanjaro Airport and housing prices ranges from 105 - 295 pr week depending on preferences for accommodation.
