The House Parents play important roles in our community, supporting adolescents in their daily lives, emotional development, and community growth. Working closely with the teaching team, they help create a safe, caring, and intentional living environment.

Y2MAC is one of the few adsolescent communities in the world designed around Montessori principles, where living and learning are deeply connected. Here, residential life is not simply about supervision and care—it is an important part of the educational experience.

This is a rare opportunity to live and work alongside adolescents, support their growth, and help shape the culture of a unique boarding community.

We value interdependence and are committed to fostering responsibility, self-awareness, and independence in young people.

Our permaculture field trip in March was a sensory adventure, from feeling the difference between clay and silt to tasting soil, hibiscus, dill, and mulberries—lots of mullberries! One student reflected that the experience rekindled his appreciation for the quiet beauty of small flowers and greenery. Back on the farm, new life is emerging—first eggs from the young chickens, sprouting winged beans, growing chayote, and young shoots from mulberry cuttings.🌱🌸

三月時，參與 Farm Project 的青少年至台東展開樸門農法（permaculture）學習之旅。這是一場充滿感官探索的冒險，從親手感受黏土與粉砂的差異，到品嚐土壤、洛神花、蒔蘿與桑葚（那裡有滿滿的桑葚！）。

有位學生分享，這趟旅程喚回了，他對小花與綠意之美的欣賞。

回到 Y2MAC 農場，新生命正萌發——母雞產下第一批蛋、翼豆發芽、佛手瓜生長茂盛，以及由桑枝扦插所長出的新芽🌱🌸

Adolescence is a crucial stage of identity formation, where conversations about faith and death often lead to a deeper sense of self-understanding.

In our Religion Project this term, the question that opened our thinking was not
“Do you believe in God?”
but “Do you believe in ghosts?”

In a multi religious context like Taiwan, students quickly realized that religion is not distant. It sits at the heart of life, death, and identity.

What began as “this has nothing to do with me” turned into a recognition that everyone already carries a philosophy of life.

Through films, loss, and intense debates, religion became less about belief systems and more about how we live, lose, and remember.

青春期正是構築自我認同的關鍵階段，信仰與死亡的討論，往往指向更深的自我理解。

這季的 Religion Project 裡，一個問題引發了許多思考：

不是「你相信有神嗎？」
而是「你相信有鬼嗎？」

在台灣這樣多宗教共存的社會裡，宗教其實不遠，它就在生與死、關係與選擇之中。

一開始，青少年認為宗教與己無關，隨著討論展開，逐漸意識到，每個人其實都有一套生命哲學。

有人在失落中重新理解信仰。
有人在電影裡看見慈悲比對錯更難。
也有人在葬禮辯論中追問儀式、懺悔、死亡，以及人如何被記得。

這些討論沒有標準答案，但讓一件事變得清楚，宗教並非遙遠的系統，而是我們如何面對生命本身。

Our 7 adolescents just finished a two-week trip to Sydney, Australia! They visited Northside Montessori School, where local students' families hosted them. They lived, learned, and had fun together.

This trip was made possible through nearly a year of fundraising. Over the past two weeks, they enjoyed the relaxed pace of life in Australia, showed great self-discipline and adaptability, and supported each other through challenges. We’re so proud of the confidence they showed in connecting with people from another culture!

Huge thanks to the students, staff, and families at Northside Montessori School for your warm hospitality — you almost spoiled us!🥰🇦🇺

我們的七位青少年，剛結束為期兩週的澳洲之旅！他們至雪梨的 Northside Montessori School 交流，由當地學生的家庭接待，一起生活、學習、遊玩。

為使旅程成行，他們齊心花了近一年時間募款。這兩週，他們盡情享受澳洲的悠閒步調，展現驚人自律與適應力，也互相支持、勇敢面對挑戰。我們為他們在異國交流時展現的自信，感到無比驕傲！
