📚 Teaching English in Remote Areas Program (TERA Program) 📚
This summer, HIA students Amber Huang, Justin Lee, Cherry Hung, Marina Chiang, and Chloe Cheng, led by Mr. Chen and Ms. Chiu, participated in HIA's Teaching English in Remote Areas (TERA) Program.
Leaving the city behind, the HIA TERA team brought knowledge, creativity, and joy to children in rural communities. 🌍 Each day featured a different country as its theme, including Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and the United States, allowing students to explore diverse cultures through English.
Our student volunteers led a variety of interactive English lessons featuring cultural activities, games, and food. Children enjoyed playing Charades, Hangman, Bingo, and Simon Says, while also making shaved ice and hamburgers together as part of the cultural experience.
Beyond teaching English, our students built meaningful friendships with the children, shared countless smiles and laughter, and created unforgettable memories. Through this experience, they gained a deeper understanding of the diverse learning needs and backgrounds of students in remote areas, learned to adapt their teaching strategies, and grew as both educators and compassionate leaders.
Most importantly, everyone enjoyed a rewarding, meaningful, and heartwarming summer together. 🌞
📚 偏遠地區英語教學志工計畫（TERA Program） 📚
今年暑假，HIA 學生 Amber Huang、Justin Lee、Cherry Hung、Marina Chiang 與 Chloe Cheng，在 Mr. Chen 與 Ms. Chiu 的帶領下，參與了 HIA 的 偏遠地區英語教學志工計畫（TERA Program）。
HIA TERA 團隊走出都市，將知識、創意與歡樂帶進偏鄉，陪伴孩子們透過英語探索世界。🌍 活動期間每天都以不同國家為主題，包括 韓國、日本、菲律賓 與 美國，帶領孩子們認識各國文化。
學生志工設計了豐富有趣的英語課程，內容涵蓋文化介紹、互動遊戲及美食體驗。孩子們一起用英文玩了 比手畫腳（Charades）、Hangman、Bingo、Simon Says 等遊戲，也親手製作了 剉冰 和 漢堡，在歡笑中自然學習英語。
除了英語教學之外，學生們也與孩子們建立了真摯的友誼，分享了無數歡笑，留下了許多難忘的回憶。透過這次服務，他們更深入了解偏鄉學生不同的學習需求與背景，學會依照學生的需要調整教學方式，也在服務中成長為更有同理心與領導力的教育者。
最重要的是，大家都度過了一個充實、溫暖且充滿收穫的夏天。🌞
