從年輕時期在古典音樂學習、到自組搖滾樂團、再到流行唱片音樂工作、王美蓮的音樂背景不僅專業豐富而且有著卓越成就。
在流行音樂超過20年的經驗、發行了將近100首的歌曲、除了3張個人華語專輯外,她也是一位唱片製作人和詞曲創作者、合作過許多的知名歌手,有來自台灣、香港、新加坡、馬來西亞、中國、芬蘭、韓國。
除了在流行唱片的成就外、近年來Lotus也熱衷於音樂教學工作、她花了很多心思去整合歌唱課程的訓練、培訓許多優秀的新生代藝人.
在2018年搬到法國後，Lotus 更繼續與國際上的音樂人共同創作、除了華語歌曲也包括英文，法文流行歌曲的創作,同時透過網路、她仍舊持續授課、學生來自世界各地、Lotus 希望在音樂不斷的創新融合時、也能把將音樂知識傳遞給新一代並互相交流成長。

From studying at Classical Music in her youth, to forming her own rock band, to working in popular record music, Lotus musical background is not only rich in professionalism but also has outstanding achievements. With more than 20 years of experience in popular music, she has released nearly 100 songs, in addition to 3 solo Chinese albums, she is also a record producer and songwriter, and has collaborated with many well-known singers, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Finland, South Korea. In addition to the achievements in popular records, Lotus has also been keen on music teaching in recent years. She has spent a lot of thought to integrate the training of singing courses and train many outstanding new generation artists.
