【西雅圖隨筆：在世界的變革浪潮中，為孩子播下改變未來的種子 】
很多人對於前往美國留學或體驗生活，心中總帶著無限的憧憬。那是一個完全不同的世界——多元的人種、觀念、截然不同的生活型態，處處充滿了讓人好奇且著迷的火花。
然而，現實的彼端也常伴隨著令人卻步的隱憂：槍枝議題、政局波動、治安挑戰，或是對海外學子的不友善，這些聲音常讓家長與學子在追夢的路上遲疑。即使在一個成熟的已開發法治國家， #選擇哪一個城市作為拓展國際視野的起點，確實有著天壤之別。
而這一次， #我們在西雅圖找到了答案。
這座城市完美融合了「 #尖端科技」與「 #人文溫度」。它不僅是微軟、亞馬遜等頂尖科技巨擘的搖籃， ；更擁有百年學術殿堂「華盛頓大學」，散發著濃厚的求學與思辨氣息。相比於其他一線大都市，西雅圖多了一分溫和、包容與靜謐。依山傍水的絕美景致與濃郁的文教氛圍，讓海外學子能在一個相對安全、友善的環境中，既能觸摸到世界科技的脈搏，又能沉澱心靈，專注於自我的蛻變。
▌ #一場關於未來教育的 180 分鐘長談
今天，勵生執行長 Raye 與西雅圖地區執行總監 Nate，一同來到了華盛頓大學學生最鍾愛的校園咖啡廳。點了一杯咖啡坐下來，與雪蘭大學的國際拓展副主任Alex展開了一場長達 3 小時的深度對話。
在這寶貴的 180 分鐘裡，＃我們心中對教育的熱忱被徹底點燃。我們從 AI 技術將如何重塑人類的社會型態，聊到台灣學生對美國留學與跨文化體驗的強烈渴望。身為教育工作者，我們不斷思索與自問：「在即將到來的暑期，＃我們該如何為孩子開闢更多實質的管道，幫助他們培養真正的世界觀、累積帶得走的能力，並為未來做好準備？」
不只是沙盤推演，我們更堅持「行萬里路」的實踐。過去，營運長 Elizabeth 也親自與在地諸多不同的語言學校、教育機構深度交流。我們始終相信，唯有透過親身實地的參訪與考察，才能真正感受教學現場的溫度，並為孩子做出最正確、最適合的教育規劃。

Seattle Reflections: Sowing the Seeds of the Future in a ＃Changing World
For many, the prospect of studying abroad or experiencing life in the United States is filled with infinite aspiration. It is a completely different world—a place where diverse cultures, cutting-edge ideas, and entirely new lifestyles ignite curiosity and fascination at every turn.
Yet, the reality on the other side often comes with daunting concerns. Hard truths like gun issues, political turbulence, safety challenges, or unwelcoming attitudes toward international students can make parents and students hesitate on their journey to pursuing dreams. Even within a mature, developed country under the rule of law, the choice of city as the starting point to expand one’s international horizon makes a world of difference.
This time, we found our answer in ＃Seattle. ✨
This city perfectly harmonizes a "cutting-edge technological soul" with "human warmth." Not only is it the birthplace of tech giants like Microsoft and Amazon—standing at the absolute forefront of the global AI and technology wave—but it is also home to the century-old academic institution, the University of Washington (UW), radiating a profound spirit of scholarship and intellectual inquiry. Compared to other major tier-one metropolises, Seattle offers an extra layer of gentleness, inclusivity, and tranquility. With its breathtaking natural landscapes surrounded by mountains and waters, alongside a vibrant educational atmosphere, it allows international students to feel secure and supported. Here, they can touch the pulse of global innovation while grounding their minds to focus on personal transformation.
▌ A 180-Minute Deep Dive into the Future of Education ☕️
Today, Raye, CEO of LiShen, and Nate, Senior Executive Director of Seattle, with Alex, Associate Director of International Outreach at Shoreline College, visited a campus café highly cherished by the students of the University of Washington. With a cup of coffee in hand, they sat down for a deep, 3-hour conversation.
During those precious 180 minutes, our shared passion for education was completely ignited. We discussed from how technology will reshape human social structures to the strong yearning among Taiwanese students to study and experience cross-cultural life in the US. As educators, we constantly pondered and asked ourselves: "With the upcoming summer break, how can we pave more substantial pathways for our students to cultivate a genuine worldview, accumulate skills they can carry for life, and fully prepare for the future?"
Beyond strategic planning, we firmly believe in the practice of "walking the miles." In the past, our COO, Elizabeth, also personally engaged in deep exchanges with various local language schools and educational institutions. We have always believed that only through first-hand, on-site visits and evaluations can we truly feel the warmth of the learning environment and make the most accurate, suitable educational arrangements for our children.

In this era of rapid and relentless change, education is not about copying the same mould; it is about cultivating potential in line with individual needs.
