We played many fun games with the children. We did kickball, basketball with the teachers, jump rope, and other games. Everyone laughed and had a good time! 🏃‍♂️🏀⛹️‍♀️

Day 1 in Japan 🇯🇵
Our SunTek Elementary students have safely landed in Kyoto after traveling from Taiwan. They are excited to begin their visit to our sister school, Doshisha Elementary. Accompanied by Teacher Eric and Teacher Erika, the group is ready for an unforgettable cultural exchange. Safe arrival, great energy, and the adventure officially begins!

✨📖 Building Study Habits the Fun Way in 1 Mei! 💛🎨

In Class 1 Mei, we are learning how to build good study habits together while also practicing courage and confidence. Students are coming up to share their review process using a touch of technology—drawing and writing on the smart board makes learning extra fun! 🖍️✨

1 Mei loves a good challenge, especially when hard work is well rewarded! We are creating our very own Phonics Dictionary with 45 short vowel words using the short i, o, and u sounds—words we must knock down as soon as we see them on the big test! 📚💪

This activity helps us review phonics while practicing listening carefully and following instructions in English, not only by writing the words but also by drawing a matching picture. Each student gets their own special review time and, of course, a reward for their effort—a yummy waffle or stickers! 🧇⭐ Beautiful handwriting always matters. So proud of our hardworking 1 Mei! 🌈👏

✨📚 Grade 1 Mei in Review Mode! 🎉💛

With just one week to go before our final test, Class 1 Mei is having lots of fun while reviewing everything we have learned! Learning is always better when it is active, playful, and full of smiles. 😊

This week, we are putting our listening skills, accuracy, and attention reviewing through fun activities to be more than ready. If you are not following carefully, you might miss your turn when your number is called! 👂✨ And for extra points, students can repeat the full sentence—the clearest and loudest voices earn bonus points! 🔊⭐

We are practicing, laughing, and building confidence every day so we can walk into our final test feeling ready, proud, and excited. Go 1 Mei! 🌈👏

As a fun activity to get their brains working in the morning before writing class, Teacher Elias sometimes challenges students in Grade 6 Mei with brain teasers. These encourage students to sharpen their minds by challenging them to think critically, and think creatively. They had lots of fun figuring out these brain teasers!

To celebrate Christmas this year, Grade 6 Mei and Teacher Elias decided to forgo the traditional gift exchange and instead have a different sort of celebration.

Students first learned about the traditions and history behind Christmas stockings. Then, they got to work making their own! Next, instead of gifts, students send anonymous messages to each other sharing thankfulness, and kind wishes for the new year.

To cap off the celebration, there was a buffet of wonderful snacks prepared by teachers, parents, and students. They shared food, and their kind handwritten messages while watching a Christmas movie. It looks like Christmas came without packages, boxes, or bags in Grade 6 Mei.
