Dear esteemed Delegates,

I am delighted to announce that early applications for the second iteration of Apollo Model United Nations are open! Our conference this year will be held over zoom from Saturday, February 5 to Sunday, February 6th, 2022. Although I am certain you are all tired of participating in events virtually, doing so is what enables us to make this conference possible.

In fact, it is this very virtual environment that allows Apollo MUN to be the largest MUN conference in the world entirely independently run by high school students. It is also the reason why every member of our secretariat met, not through school or country, but through our collective passion for the world of diplomacy. This means each of us hails from an entirely different region of the world, and, through our personal cultural understanding and experiences, are able to ensure this conference accommodates every type of participant.

As young, willing, and passionate people, we often feel that our leadership has failed us. Climate change is accelerating faster than it ever has before; a global pandemic has left nations in ruins and millions dead; rising political tensions create a constant threat of war; and all the while, the adults in the room continue to sit idly by. Apollo MUN has made it its mission to raise a group of competent and hardworking leaders to unravel this status quo for the betterment of our world. With the goals of collaboration, problem-solving, and cultural understanding in mind, participating in Apollo MUN can grant you a unique opportunity to interact with a diverse array of passionate students to address issues from economic development to political unrest. Our assortment of 20 committees, combined with over 700 delegate participants from 15+ countries, means that there will be no shortage of unique ideas and concepts to explore.

The conference will also be hosting surprise keynote speakers and professionals in the field of international relations, who will offer you an opportunity to learn more about potential careers in political science, law, and foreign policy. Even further, our nonprofit partners, including Women in Leadership, The Microphone Initiative, and Not Islands Initiative, will be offering potential internships if you are interested.

Regular application deadlines will also be open until January 20, 2022, if the December 25th deadline is not feasible. After registering, you will receive an email from me regarding payment details and committee/country assignments.
