Reuse, Convert, Recycle. Materials can be found everywhere. Just be on the lookout. My paints are not expensive, I use whats available. Old Gunze, Tamiya, Bosny, ordinary oil and acrylic, even watercolors. Thinners are Tamiya & Gunze lacquer, kerosene, acrylic, polyurethane and even water. I spend on expensive sable brushes (Windsor & Newton, Kolinsky...). I take a lot of good references. Of course making it to scale is not 100% accurate but close enough. Doing something nice and presentable takes time, I do not do things overnight. I always tell my kids..."WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING - DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME". Yes there will be mistakes but learn from those mistakes. I'm not a perfectionist...I've learned to do things in excellence.
