🎶 Storytelling, Music & Movement｜Circle Time

Stories aren’t just something we listen to — we can move, sing, and experience them together! 💛

During Circle Time, the teacher brings the story to life through engaging storytelling, music, rhythm, and interactive games. The children are encouraged to sing along, move with the music, and join in the fun. 🎵📖✨

Through these playful experiences, children naturally practice listening, understanding, expressing themselves, and coordinating their movements, while enjoying the joy of sharing stories and playing together with their teachers and friends.

Every story has its own rhythm, and every child has their own way of joining in. 🌱💛

Inspired by the picture book When You Were in Mommy’s Tummy…, the children began exploring the beautiful mystery of where we come from and what it means to grow inside a mother’s tummy.

Using a variety of materials, the children were invited to express their ideas through color, texture, and hands-on exploration. They used blue and white paint to create a soft, watery space inspired by the environment where a baby grows inside the womb. With different textured papers, they layered and arranged materials to explore feelings of softness and warmth. Red strings represented the special connection between mommy and baby, symbolizing the umbilical cord and the bond between them. Finally, the children used play dough in different skin tones to create their own little babies.

Rather than focusing on creating a “perfect” finished product, we gave the children the freedom to choose, explore, experiment, and express their own ideas. Every touch, choice, and creation became a way for them to make sense of the story and connect it to their own experiences.

Through this open-ended exploration, the children discovered that learning can happen in many different ways. More importantly, they had the opportunity to explore the beginning of life and discover that each of us began our journey surrounded by love, care, and excitement.

Every story has a beginning—and every little life begins with a story of its own.

✋ Exploring What Our Hands Can Do｜Learning Through Our Senses

Our hands are one of the most natural ways for children to explore the world around them.

This time, we provided a variety of materials and everyday objects without showing the children a specific way to use them. Instead, they were free to touch, shake, squeeze, press, and explore, discovering all the different things their hands could do.

They shook bottles to listen to the sounds inside, squeezed sponges and watched the water flow out, pressed soft ice packs to feel their cool, squishy texture, and touched ice to experience the difference in temperature.

Through each little try and discovery, the children observed how the materials changed and noticed that different ways of using their hands could create different results.

We love giving children the time and space to explore, try things out, and learn through their own experiences.

✨ Sometimes, a pair of curious little hands is all it takes to start discovering the world.

🦁 **Welcome to Our World of Wild Animals｜Exploring the World of Wild Animals** 🌿

The children began their exploration by listening to animal sounds and engaging their senses, discovering the fascinating world of wild animals. 🦓🌿

By listening to the sounds of different animals, the children drew on what they already knew and had experienced to identify the sounds, name the animals, and share their ideas and knowledge with one another.

We then extended the exploration through Spin the Marker and Charades, giving the children opportunities to learn through play and interaction. They practiced describing animals using clues such as their colors, sounds, and diets, helping their friends guess which animal they were describing. 🎭

Through listening, observing, describing, and sharing, the children not only expanded their animal-related vocabulary, but also developed their communication, reasoning, observation, and social interaction skills. 🌱✨

Building on their curiosity and prior experiences, the children continued to discover, think, and deepen their understanding of the animal world through play and meaningful interactions with one another. 🐒🦓🦁💛

We explored a variety of creative materials. Rather than giving specific instructions or showing the children how the materials should be used, the teachers created an open-ended environment where the children could freely choose, combine, and create based on their own ideas and interests.

Throughout the exploration, the children used observation, touch, and hands-on experiences to develop their own ideas and creativity. Each child explored the materials in their own unique way. Some focused closely on the materials themselves, while others experimented with different ways of combining them. Some even shared materials and exchanged ideas with their friends.

Through this open-ended, child-led exploration, the children had the freedom to express their imagination and creativity while also learning to communicate, cooperate, and appreciate their friends’ different ideas and creations.

When there is no “right way” to create, children are free to discover their own ways of thinking, exploring, and expressing themselves.

Using real insects, the children used magnifying glasses to take a closer look at crickets and grasshoppers—their bodies, legs, wings, and the way they moved. As they looked carefully, they began to notice the similarities and differences between these two fascinating insects. 🔍🦗

Their curiosity became the starting point for exploration. As they observed, the children shared their own ideas, noticed new details, and wondered about what they were seeing. Through this process, they gradually developed a deeper understanding of these little creatures. 🌿

The children then turned their discoveries into art. Some focused on drawing the different parts of a cricket, while others brought their own imagination into their creations. 🎨

🌈 Exploring Colors and Shapes Through Our Eyes

We provided a variety of colorful learning materials in different shapes, inviting the children to explore colors and shapes through observation, comparison, and open-ended exploration.

As they explored, the children began to see eyes, noses, and mouths in some of the shapes. They used their imagination to arrange and combine the different materials, creating unique faces of their own. 👀👃👄

Each child had their own way of creating. Some enjoyed stacking the shapes and observing how they changed as they built higher, while others focused on color combinations or enjoyed rearranging the pieces again and again to see what they could create. ✨

By giving the children the freedom to explore, we encouraged them to follow their own observations and ideas—choosing, experimenting, and creating in their own ways.

Throughout this process, the children were not only learning about colors and shapes, but also using their hands to bring their ideas and imagination to life, strengthening their observation skills, spatial awareness, and creativity along the way. 🌈

✨ Caring for Our Children, Continuing to Grow

Education is not only about supporting children as they learn and grow. It is also about being prepared, continuing to learn, and taking that extra step to ensure their safety. 💚

After a busy day at school, our teachers stayed after work to participate in an Emergency First Aid Training Workshop. With the guidance of a professional instructor, they learned essential first-aid procedures, CPR, and important safety and emergency response techniques, followed by hands-on practice and drills. 💪

From learning the knowledge to putting it into practice, every training session helps us stay calm, confident, and prepared to respond appropriately when it matters most.

A heartfelt thank-you to all of our teachers for taking the time after work to continue learning, growing, and strengthening their professional skills. 🌱

Because caring for children means more than being there for them every day—it means being prepared to protect, support, and care for them when it matters most. 💚

We explored A, E, I, O, and U, with a special focus on the sound of A and words that begin with it, such as apple, airplane, alligator, acorn, and ax. 🍎✈️🐊

Through the fun Alligator Game, the children listened for and identified the /æ/ sound while playing. We then explored the sounds of A and M through the Listen and Run game, using movement to respond to what they heard and discovering that A + M = AM. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we focused not only on remembering letters and words, but on giving children opportunities to discover that sounds can be heard, recognized, and combined to create language through play, movement, listening, and interaction.

From one sound to one letter and then to a simple word, the children built their understanding of language through exploration—and enjoyed the joy of discovering something new along the way. 💚✨

🌍🍴 Learning English Through Everyday Life

English isn’t just something we learn in the classroom—it can naturally become part of our everyday lives. ✨

This time, we explored international cuisine, giving the children opportunities to discover different ingredients, flavors, and cultures while naturally using English through hands-on experiences, tasting, and sharing.

From learning a new word and discovering a new flavor to having simple conversations, the children listened to, spoke, and used English in a meaningful, real-life context—making language part of their journey of discovering the world. 🌍

When English becomes part of everyday life, learning becomes more than just learning—it becomes a joyful journey of curiosity, exploration, and discovery. 💛
