Morrison Academy Taipei is part of the Morrison Academy system, offering classes from kindergarten through 12th grade. A Christian International School

Because Morrison is a Christian international school, a Biblical worldview is integrated into all areas of the American based curriculum. Bible class is required for all students. Instruction is in English and is college preparatory in focus. Advanced Placement credit is available for select courses. The school year for students extends from around the second Monday in August to the end of May or the first week of June, for a total of 180 instructional days. The school is jointly accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school’s boarding program is also accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International. An International Christian School

Morrison Academy is recognized by Taiwan as an international school and is restricted from accepting nationals who do not hold a foreign passport. The majority of our students, approximately 70%, are citizens of the United States. The remainder of our students come from 32 other countries. Morrison Academy is legally recognized as Morrison Christian Association. It is a nonprofit corporation, registered in the state of New Jersey and in Taiwan. Grade 5 had an unforgettable field trip last week to the Rakuten Monkeys professional baseball stadium! Students had the opportunity to tour the facility, watch part of a team practice, and even throw a few pitches.

One of the most exciting moments of the day was interviewing two of the team’s starting pitchers, Kyle MarMann and Morgan McSweeney—both former MLB players. Students came prepared with thoughtful questions, asking what inspired them to pursue professional baseball, their favorite memories from the game, and the challenges they’ve faced along the way. It was a meaningful opportunity to hear firsthand how perseverance, passion, and dedication shape an athlete’s journey.

This experience tied perfectly into Grade 5’s unit on famous athletes and their impact on both their sport and the world. To wrap up their learning, students became “experts” on an athlete of their choice, sharing their research and insights with fellow elementary students and parents. It was a fantastic way to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences—and a day our Grade 5 students won’t soon forget!

Our Grade 1 students had a wonderful day exploring the Taipei Zoo this week! Although a few of the exhibits they hoped to visit were under construction, they still had the chance to see some amazing endangered animals up close. It was a day full of curiosity, excitement, and appreciation for the incredible diversity of God’s creation. 🐾
