English 10 and 11 have been actively working on their creative writing projects recently, exploring deep personal themes that challenge them to trace their families’ narratives and memories. We had the privilege of inviting senior guest speakers to share their completed works from the previous years. During these interviews, our students learned the importance of peer review and collaborative writing.

Our elementary classes cast their votes during library time last week— joining the elementary students at MAC, MAK, and MACY—to choose the 2025-2026 Morrison TuShu winner! Which picture book earned the top spot? The winner will be revealed this week…stay tuned!

Grade 4—curiosity in motion! From science to technology integration, students are fully engaged in hands-on learning. Watch our young scientists explore coding with Dash robots and investigate energy transfer through creative chain reactions!

Grade 5 had an unforgettable field trip last week to the Rakuten Monkeys professional baseball stadium! Students had the opportunity to tour the facility, watch part of a team practice, and even throw a few pitches.

One of the most exciting moments of the day was interviewing two of the team’s starting pitchers, Kyle MarMann and Morgan McSweeney—both former MLB players. Students came prepared with thoughtful questions, asking what inspired them to pursue professional baseball, their favorite memories from the game, and the challenges they’ve faced along the way. It was a meaningful opportunity to hear firsthand how perseverance, passion, and dedication shape an athlete’s journey.

This experience tied perfectly into Grade 5’s unit on famous athletes and their impact on both their sport and the world. To wrap up their learning, students became “experts” on an athlete of their choice, sharing their research and insights with fellow elementary students and parents. It was a fantastic way to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences—and a day our Grade 5 students won’t soon forget!

Our Grade 1 students had a wonderful day exploring the Taipei Zoo this week! Although a few of the exhibits they hoped to visit were under construction, they still had the chance to see some amazing endangered animals up close. It was a day full of curiosity, excitement, and appreciation for the incredible diversity of God’s creation. 🐾
