NCCU Oath Club

In this festive season, we are so thankful to have been given the opportunity to bless the community.

With the generosity of our sponsor 統超保險經紀人股份有限公司 (President Chian Store Corporation Insurance Brokers Co., LTD), in partnership with 7/11, we were able to distribute 150 sets of bread 🍞 and drink 🧃 to the homeless living near Taipei Main Station. 🚉

This event marks the last event from Oath Club this year. We are truly grateful to all our partners, sponsors, and volunteers for lending their time and support to all of our activities. We hope for everyone's support for our next year's activities as well :)

Who let the dogs out?? 🐕 🐾🐶 Last November 21, Oath Club had the privilege of collaborating with The PACK Taiwan, a nonprofit animal shelter and sanctuary for abandoned dogs. Our volunteers were able to interact and play with the dogs for a day 😊🥰 ~

A simple chat can go a long way 😊 We want to give a shout out to Huashan Social Welfare Foundation（華山基金會) for all the work they have been doing with the elderly. Their advocacy is truly impressive and our volunteers were truly honored for being able to get a chance to be a part of it for one day.

According to an article by National Geographic, every year around 8 million tons of plastic waste goes into the oceans and ends up on the coasts. Taiwan, being an island country, becomes one of the destinations of the trash.

Last October 31, the Oath Club had the privilege of collaborating with Haiyong Studio (海湧工作室) to do a clean-up event at Jinshan beach 🏖️. Around 23 volunteers from IMBA participated, and in 2 hours, they have collected over 102 kg of ocean trash 😨.

We want to thank Haiyong Studio for their guidance and for educating us on the proper way to do the clean-up. We also encourage everyone to do our part for the earth and not throw the trash into the sea 😀

Oath Club is going pink this October 🎀 In response to Breast Cancer Awareness month, we have set up a fundraising booth today (Oct. 14) and tomorrow (Oct. 15) near the McDonald's side gate entrance. All proceeds from this sale will be donated to the Breast Cancer Prevention Foundation (財團法人乳癌防治基金會).

The items for sale are the following:
1. Floral pineapple cake $100/pc
2. Postcard set $100/set
3. Single flower bouquet $150/bouquet
4. Small flower bouquet $120/bouquet

We would like to invite everyone to Oath's Club's first summer tie-up: An Online Cultural Exchange Project with Brightside Organization.

Brightside is an organization that focuses on creating a support system dedicated to long-term improvement in the lives of children and families through creative education. To learn more about the organization, please visit this link: https://brightside.tw/bright-side/mission/

Participants will be introducing their country and culture to the children from MuHsiang Orphanage, which is under this organization.

The organization prefers presentations delivered in English. Hence, this project is an excellent opportunity for international students to share your culture. Information about the activity can be found in the photo attached.

The Oath Club is now accepting textbook donations. Are you ready to make a difference? Give us your text, we’ll do the rest. Oath Club Book Donation for Charity

👉Just drop off your textbooks at the designated shelf in YiXian Building’s student lounge. You'll be recognized by the Oath Club as a donor, and you’ll be helping build NCCU’s social responsibility. We’re so fortunate, let’s help others by donating our textbooks for a good cause!
🔔Simply write your name on the inside cover or first page of textbooks you wish to donate. Then, shoot us a quick message if you’d like your name included on our wall of honor.

• After collecting second hand textbooks, we’ll list what we have for new students.
• For those who need them, the Oath Club will ask for a modest donation per book — whatever you can afford.
