🤝【2026優華語計畫暑期獎學金生前進屏東，與屏東女中攜手展開交流與文化體驗！】🌿

實踐大學高雄校區優華語計畫獎學金生日前前往屏東，與屏東女中語文資優班學生共同參與「大手攜小手」交流活動，展開一場充滿學習、文化與友誼的跨國交流體驗！

活動中，雙方學生分別介紹自己的學校、校園生活及學習特色，分享各自的求學經驗與文化背景。透過面對面的交流，不僅讓大家更加認識彼此的教育環境，也進一步了解臺灣與不同國家的校園文化與學生生活。

其中，來自美國漢米爾頓學院（Hamilton College）的學生特別分享了校園生活與學生餐廳文化，豐富多元的餐飲選擇讓屏東女中的同學們印象深刻，也引發許多有趣的討論與交流。

除了校園交流之外，屏東女中也精心安排了中醫文化體驗活動。學生們一同前往中醫診所，在專業講解下認識各種常見中藥材，了解中醫養生文化，並親手製作防蚊香包，為炎炎夏日做好準備。

雖然當天偶有陣雨，但在雨勢稍歇時，屏東女中的學生們化身在地小導覽員，帶領獎學金生前往勝利星村參訪。透過導覽介紹，大家深入認識屏東的歷史脈絡、人文故事與地方特色，感受南臺灣獨有的熱情與文化魅力。

透過此次交流活動，來自不同國家的學生不僅提升了跨文化溝通能力，也建立了珍貴的友誼。未來，我們期待持續推動更多與臺灣學生的交流機會，讓來自世界各地的學生透過語言、文化與友誼，看見更豐富多元的臺灣。🌏✨

Our Huayu BEST Scholarship students in Kaohsiung campus recently visited Pingtung Girls’ Senior High School for a special “Hands in Hands” activity.

Students from both schools introduced their campuses, shared their student life experiences, and learned about different educational and cultural backgrounds. A presentation by a student from Hamilton College was especially memorable, with many students fascinated by the college dining hall and campus life.

The group also participated in a traditional Chinese medicine cultural experience, where they learned about medicinal herbs and created their own herbal sachets.

Despite occasional rain, students were able to visit Victory Star Village, where local students served as guides and introduced the history and culture of Pingtung.

Through this meaningful exchange, students strengthened their cross-cultural communication skills, built new friendships, and gained a deeper appreciation of Taiwanese culture. We look forward to creating more opportunities for international and Taiwanese students to learn and grow together. 🌏✨

今年夏天，來自世界各地的優華語暑期獎學金生齊聚實踐大學高雄校區，展開充實又精彩的華語學習旅程！
從校園導覽、始業式，到每天密集又扎實的華語課程，學生們已經慢慢熟悉校園生活，也在全中文的學習環境中一步步提升自己的華語能力。

除了課堂學習，當然也少不了最重要的——交流與體驗！
很開心這次高雄校區主任與教師團隊也一起加入課餘籃球活動，和學生們在球場上揮灑汗水、互動交流。語言學習不只發生在教室裡，也發生在每一次聊天、合作、歡笑和生活體驗之中。
開學兩週以來，來自不同國家的學生們每天在高雄學華語、交朋友、認識臺灣，也一步步感受南臺灣的熱情與文化魅力。

我們將持續歡迎來自世界各地的獎學金生來到高雄校區學習華語、認識臺灣，也期待透過語言與文化的交流，讓更多國際學生看見高雄的多元風貌與國際魅力。

This summer, Huayu BEST Scholarship recipients from around the world have gathered at the Kaohsiung Campus of Shih Chien University to begin an exciting and enriching Mandarin learning journey!

From campus tours and the opening orientation to intensive daily Mandarin classes, students are gradually becoming familiar with campus life while strengthening their Chinese language skills in a fully immersive Mandarin-speaking environment.

Of course, learning extends far beyond the classroom. One of the most valuable parts of studying abroad is the opportunity to connect, interact, and experience a new culture firsthand.

We were especially delighted that the Kaohsiung Campus Director and our teaching team joined the students for an after-class basketball game, creating opportunities for meaningful interaction and cross-cultural exchange. Language learning happens not only through textbooks, but also through conversations, teamwork, laughter, and shared experiences.

Now two weeks into the program, students from different countries are studying Mandarin, making new friends, and discovering Taiwan every day. At the same time, they are experiencing the warmth, hospitality, and unique cultural charm of Southern Taiwan.

We look forward to welcoming more scholarship recipients from around the world to study Mandarin at our Kaohsiung Campus and explore Taiwan. Through language and cultural exchange, we hope even more international students will discover the diversity, vibrancy, and global appeal of Kaohsiung.

We were honored to welcome Director General Charles Chi-Yu Chou of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Miami to Shih Chien University.
During the visit, our Vice President Tony Kuo warmly received Director General Chou, and both sides engaged in fruitful discussions on promoting Taiwanese culture, advancing Mandarin education, and strengthening educational exchanges between Taiwan and the United States 🇹🇼 🇺🇸

The meeting also brought together recipients of the Huayu B.E.S.T. Scholarship Program from Florida International University (FIU), Hamilton College (HC), and the University of Montana (UM). Director Chou took time to learn about the students’ experiences studying and living in Taiwan, while sharing valuable insights on cross-cultural communication and international learning opportunities✨

✨讓中文成為生活的一部分　丹佛語言學校師生來臺沉浸學習✨

來自美國丹佛語言學校（Denver Language School）的師生一行，日前抵達臺灣，展開華語與文化研習之旅。雖然師生們在轉機及機場停留了比預期更長的時間，但大家依然帶著滿滿期待與熱情，順利來到實踐大學華語中心，開啟這段充實而難忘的學習旅程。

值得一提的是，今年已是丹佛語言學校連續第三年選擇來到實踐大學華語中心進行華語研習。多年來雙方持續深化合作，不僅見證了學生華語能力的成長，也建立起深厚的教育夥伴關係，展現臺美華語教育交流的豐碩成果。

此次訪臺團隊除了丹佛語言學校學生外，還包括兩位由教育部外派至丹佛語言學校任教的華語教師以及該校副校長與教師共同領隊前來。透過師生攜手來臺學習與交流，讓這趟旅程不僅是語言學習，更成為一場跨文化的深度體驗。

在實踐大學華語中心的安排下，學生們除了接受密集華語課程訓練，也透過多元文化體驗活動認識臺灣。從親手製作臺灣特色點心、體驗在地飲食文化，到走訪臺北101、西門町等知名景點，學生們將課堂所學實際運用於真實生活情境之中，勇敢開口與臺灣民眾交流，體驗最真實的華語環境。

最令人感動的是，在結業式成果發表中，學生們輪流上台以華語分享自己的學習心得。許多學生表示，自己已經學習華語多年，而這次能夠真正置身於全華語環境，將過去在教室裡學到的知識運用在生活中，無論是點餐、購物、問路，或與臺灣朋友聊天，都讓他們感受到前所未有的成就感與自信心。

從課本上的詞彙到生活中的對話，讓華語不再只是學科，而是真正成為生活的一部分。

✨Making Chinese a Part of Everyday Life: Denver Language School Students Immerse Themselves in Taiwan✨

A group of students and faculty members from Denver Language School (DLS) in the United States recently arrived in Taiwan to begin an exciting Chinese language and cultural immersion program. Although their journey involved longer-than-expected delays during transit and at the airport, everyone arrived at the Chinese Language Center of Shih Chien University with enthusiasm and anticipation, ready to embark on a meaningful and memorable learning experience.

Notably, this marks the third consecutive year that Denver Language School has chosen Shih Chien University as its destination for Chinese language study. Over the years, the partnership between the two institutions has continued to grow, fostering students’ language development while strengthening educational ties between Taiwan and the United States.

In addition to the students, the visiting group included two Mandarin teachers dispatched by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education to teach at Denver Language School, as well as the school’s vice principal and a faculty member, who accompanied the students throughout the program. Together, they participated in an experience that went beyond language learning and became a meaningful journey of cross-cultural exchange.

Through carefully designed courses and activities organized by the Chinese Language Center, students not only received intensive Chinese language instruction but also gained firsthand exposure to Taiwanese culture. From making traditional Taiwanese pastries and exploring local food culture to visiting iconic landmarks such as Taipei 101 and Ximending, students had countless opportunities to apply what they had learned in the classroom to real-life situations. By interacting with local residents and navigating daily life in Chinese, they experienced the language in its most authentic form.

One of the most inspiring moments came during the closing presentation ceremony, where students took turns sharing their reflections and experiences in Chinese. Many expressed that, after studying the language for years, being immersed in a fully Chinese-speaking environment allowed them to finally put their knowledge into practice. Whether ordering food, shopping, asking for directions, or chatting with local friends, they felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment and confidence.

From vocabulary learned in textbooks to conversations in everyday life, Chinese was no longer just a subject to study—it had truly become a part of their lives.

🥐🌏【大手攜小手．跨文化烘焙交流活動】🌏🥐

實踐大學華語中心攜手餐飲管理學系，共同舉辦一場充滿香氣與溫度的跨文化烘焙交流活動！

在餐飲管理系師傅與學生們的協助下，潭美國小學童與教育部「優華語計畫（Taiwan Huayu Best Program）」獎學金生齊聚一堂，透過分組合作，一起動手製作臺灣經典點心——牛舌餅與核桃酥。

本次活動共有約32位學員參與，其中優華語計畫獎學金生來自德國、英國及美國等國家，包括：

國際學生與潭美國小學童分組合作，在烘焙實作的過程中進行語言交流，從認識食材、學習製作技巧，到分享彼此的文化與生活經驗，現場充滿歡笑與互動。透過這樣的交流模式，不僅讓國際學生更深入認識臺灣飲食文化，也讓孩子們在與外國學生互動的過程中建立自信、培養國際視野，實踐「大手攜小手，共學共成長」的精神。

特別感謝嘉禾牌麵粉大力支持本次活動，並由張祥斌烘焙師傅親自帶領示範與教學。從食材介紹、麵糰製作到烘焙技巧，師傅都耐心解說與示範，讓大小朋友都能親身體驗烘焙的樂趣，也讓活動圓滿順利完成。

透過語言、文化與美食的結合，讓來自不同國家的學生與臺灣學童在交流中彼此學習、共同成長。當孩子們勇敢地用英文打招呼、介紹自己，而國際學生也熱情分享自己的國家與文化時，語言不再只是課堂上的知識，而成為連結彼此友誼的橋樑。相信這份跨文化交流所帶來的感動與收穫，將成為大家難忘而珍貴的回憶。❤️

🥐🌏 Hand in Hand Across Cultures: International Baking Exchange Activity 🌏🥐

Shih Chien University Chinese Language Center, in collaboration with the Department of Food and Beverage Management, today hosted a heartwarming international baking exchange activity filled with delicious aromas and meaningful cultural interactions.

With the guidance and support of professional baking instructors and students from the Department of Food and Beverage Management, students from Tanmei Elementary School joined scholarship recipients of the Ministry of Education’s **Taiwan Huayu BEST Program** to create traditional Taiwanese pastries, including **Taiwanese Ox Tongue Biscuit (Niu She Bing)** and **Walnut Cookie**.

Approximately 32 participants took part in the event. The Taiwan Huayu BEST Program scholarship students came from Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, representing:

From introducing ingredients and preparing dough to sharing stories about their cultures and daily lives, the activity was filled with laughter, teamwork, and meaningful conversations.

Through this hands-on experience, international students gained a deeper understanding of Taiwanese food culture, while local children built confidence and developed a broader global perspective through direct interaction with students from around the world. The event truly embodied the spirit of “learning and growing together through cross-cultural friendship.”

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to **Chiahe Flour** for generously supporting this event, and especially to Master Baker **Prof. Hsiang-Pin Chang**, who personally led the demonstrations and instruction. His patient guidance—from ingredient introductions and dough preparation to baking techniques—allowed participants of all ages to fully experience the joy of baking and contributed greatly to the event’s success.

By bringing together language learning, cultural exchange, and Taiwanese culinary traditions, this activity created valuable opportunities for students from different backgrounds to learn from one another. When local children confidently introduced themselves in English and international students enthusiastically shared stories about their home countries and cultures, language became more than a classroom subject—it became a bridge connecting friendships across borders.

The memories, friendships, and cultural understanding gained through this exchange will undoubtedly remain a cherished experience for everyone involved. ❤️

「朗讀」不只是把文字念出來，更是用聲音說故事！📖💬

本學期的朗讀比賽分為初級組與中級組，同學們各自挑戰不同主題，展現學習成果與自信風采！

初級組以《學習的快樂》為題，在反覆練習的過程中，不僅提升了中文能力，也親身感受到學習帶來的成就感與樂趣。
中級組則可自由選擇題目，其中許多同學挑戰現代詩朗讀。
透過豐富的情感、抑揚頓挫的語調，以及生動的表達方式，將作品的魅力完美呈現，讓現場掌聲不斷！
經過精彩的競賽，我們選出了前三名及優選同學。
無論結果如何，每位參賽者都勇敢站上舞台，用中文展現最好的自己

⭐ 本次比賽還有一個特別驚喜！
正逢美國蒙大拿大學研習團在臺交流期間，我們特別邀請了三位蒙大拿大學的同學一起參賽。
雖然他們只學習了五天中文，仍然勇敢接受挑戰、站上舞台朗讀，令人十分佩服！

恭喜蒙大拿大學的同學們，順利完成這次充實的夏季臺灣之旅！🎓✨

結業式上，聽著大家用心準備的講稿，分享著這兩週最愛的臺灣美食與景點，看著大家把兩週前我們帶你們走過的地方，用自己的話表達出來，老師們真的無比驕傲！🥹

讓人很驚喜的是，竟然有好幾位同學不約而同地說，這趟旅程中最喜歡的地方是「故宮博物院」！🏛️
有同學分享，能親眼看到這些歷史課本上的珍寶，感覺就像解鎖了臺灣文化背後的拼圖，讓他們對這片土地的過去有了更深刻的認識。能看到大家充滿好奇心、這麼喜歡臺灣的歷史，真的太棒了！💛

當然，這次的文化課程也是精彩滿分！💯
除了招牌的熱血大鼓課 🥁，我們還特別配合即將到來的節慶，準備了「端午節特輯」！🐲
不只分享了端午節的有趣故事，還帶著大家一針一線，親手縫製專屬的傳統香包 🌿。
好多同學對香包裡裝的特製草藥充滿好奇，一直拿起來聞，甚至許願未來有機會能來臺灣好好了解神秘的中醫文化呢！

兩週的時間真的好短暫，但我們一起創造的回憶滿滿。

At the closing ceremony, we were incredibly proud to hear everyone present their carefully prepared speeches—entirely in Chinese! 🗣️ It was so touching to hear you share your favorite Taiwanese foods and scenic spots, and to see you describe the places we visited just two weeks ago in your own words. 🥹

We were pleasantly surprised to hear several students mention the National Palace Museum as their absolute favorite destination! 🏛️
Some of you shared that seeing these historical treasures in person felt like unlocking a puzzle of Taiwanese culture, giving you a much deeper understanding of the island's past.
It was amazing to see your curiosity and love for Taiwan’s history! 💛

Of course, our cultural classes were also a massive hit! 💯
Besides our energetic, signature Drum Culture Class 🥁, we prepared a special Dragon Boat Festival feature to celebrate the upcoming holiday! 🐲
We shared the fun legends behind the festival and taught everyone how to hand-sew their own traditional fragrant sachets (Xiangbao) 🌿. So many of you were fascinated by the special herbs inside the sachets—smelling them constantly!—and even expressed a desire to return to Taiwan to learn more about the mysteries of traditional Chinese medicine!

Two weeks flew by in the blink of an eye, but they were filled with unforgettable memories.
We hope you take these wonderful experiences back to the U.S. and keep up the great work learning Mandarin! 🔥
