⚽🔥 Faculty vs. Students: A New Football Tradition Is Born! 🔥⚽
Recently, our soccer teams have achieved outstanding results, proudly bringing home 2nd place at TISSA and 2nd place in the HCAS 5-a-side Tournament! The players’ hard work, dedication, and fighting spirit have made our entire school community incredibly proud.
To celebrate these achievements, Mr. Dawson and Mr. Boden organized exciting “Students vs. Teachers” football matches to wrap up the season in the best way possible. Last week featured the Middle School students taking on the teachers, while this week it was the High School students’ turn for an energetic and competitive showdown!
Seeing everyone enjoy themselves on the field while showing great teamwork and school spirit inspired the coaches to turn this into a new tradition that will be held once every semester!

✨ Welcoming One of Our Most Outstanding Alumni Back to the AAIA Family! ✨
There is no greater reward in education than witnessing the students we once nurtured grow, shine on the world stage, and eventually return to inspire the next generation. Today, we are deeply honored and incredibly proud to announce that one of AAIA’s first distinguished alumni, Ms. Karen Chiang, is officially returning to AAIA as a Music Teacher!
As a proud member of the Class of 2019, Karen is not only an exceptional flutist, but also a passionate and accomplished music educator. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto before pursuing her Master’s degree in Flute Performance at Boston University in the United States.
During her time at Boston University, Karen played important roles in the university symphony orchestra while also serving as a teaching assistant, mentoring graduate students and demonstrating remarkable musical and educational excellence. Her extensive international teaching and performance experience has made her a highly respected educator in the field of music.
In addition to her strong classical training, Karen is also a certified Suzuki Method instructor. She firmly believes that every child possesses limitless musical potential, and her teaching philosophy centers on patience, empathy, and creativity.
Karen is dedicated to creating a warm, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence, experience the joy of music, and develop their own stage presence.
Throughout her musical journey, Karen has also studied with world-renowned flute masters such as Emmanuel Pahud and Julien Beaudiment, continuously refining both her artistry and educational expertise with passion and dedication.
For AAIA, there is nothing more meaningful than seeing our students grow into outstanding individuals and return to campus as educators themselves. Karen’s return is more than simply an alumni homecoming — it is a beautiful continuation of AAIA’s educational mission and spirit.
We truly believe that Karen will bring international perspectives, artistic vitality, and educational excellence to AAIA’s music and arts programs, inspiring both students and the entire school community.

✨Setting Sail! Embracing a Brilliant New Chapter in High School ✨
May 22nd was a day filled with gratitude and joy as our Junior High School Graduation Ceremony came to a beautiful and successful close! This wasn't just a ceremony; it was an exciting "prelude" to our students' journey into high school. Looking back, we’ve walked hand-in-hand through countless challenges, and every single step has become a shining milestone. 🐾💎
This year, we were absolutely thrilled to invite a G11 senior Danny Hsiung to the stage!
He shared some heartfelt words and wisdom from his own journey, helping juniors clear away any doubts and inspiring them to ride the waves and sail smoothly through their upcoming high school adventures. 🌊💨
The most touching moment of the day came when the school specially invited parents to join their children on stage for photos. Seeing moms and dads standing proudly beside their children, holding graduation certificates together, was an incredibly moving sight. That shared sense of honor and pride truly became the most beautiful and unforgettable highlight of the entire ceremony! 📸
A huge thank you to all our amazing teachers, supportive parents, and wonderful graduates for making this day so smooth and memorable.
Graduation isn't the end, it's the beginning of another magnificent journey.

📖Beyond the Classroom: A Journey Through Faith and History💫
Teacher Ming led a group of 6th graders on an inspiring journey spanning faith and history.
Our first stop was the Museum of World Religions in Yonghe. From solemn rituals and traditional artifacts to breathtaking architecture and art, the students were fully immersed in the rich tapestry of global spiritual cultures. Afterward, we visited the National Human Rights Museum in Jingmei to learn about a pivotal chapter in Taiwan’s history—the White Terror.
By exploring both the spiritual solace offered by religion and the profound reflections on human rights, this trip did more than just broaden our students' global perspectives; it planted seeds of respect and empathy in their hearts. It was a truly enriching day that deepened their connection to both the world and their own heritage!

【Graduation means goodbye, but it’s also the wildest youth party ever! 🔥】
Who says graduation has to be all about sad tears? At our school, the last day for our 12th graders is celebrated with blazing sunshine, epic water fights, and the mouth-watering aroma of a massive BBQ!
True to our free, open, and international campus spirit, we always give our students the ultimate room to grow—and today, that space belonged entirely to their teenage memories. Watching classmates who share such a deep bond splashing around under the sun and laughing without holding back—this is the most authentic, American-style campus scene you'll ever see!
And of course, the school didn't hold back either! We fired up a feast of a BBQ to pamper these graduates who are about to spread their wings. Thank you for leaving your best moments with us. Seeing everyone cherish the past while looking forward to the future amid the water fights is exactly the international campus vibe we take so much pride in.
In the future, keep carrying this freedom and courage with you, and continue to shine bright! ✨

[Seeds of Science Sprouting: A Day of Wonder at NTSEC] 🧬✨
As sunlight streams through the glass facade of the National Taiwan Science Education Center, our teacher Mr. Dawson leads a group of G7 students into a world of discovery. This field trip was designed to take learning beyond the classroom walls, allowing students to witness the vitality behind the formulas in their textbooks.
The Purpose of the Journey: The teacher’s goal was to transform students from "spectators" into "active participants." By engaging with the exhibits, children learn to ask meaningful questions and develop resilience through trial and error. It isn't just about transferring knowledge; it’s a lesson in courage and logical thinking.
Highlights of the Exploration:
🛠️ 3F Tinkering Workshop: There are no standard answers here. Under the teacher’s guidance, students immerse themselves in tools and components, experiencing the logic of engineering firsthand.
🚲 5F Square-Wheeled Bicycle: When the students exclaim, "A square wheel can actually move!" the seeds of scientific wonder are sown. Breaking conventional thinking is perhaps the most valuable lesson of the day.
Gravity? Never heard of her. 🎈 Having a blast experimenting with vertical wind tunnels today! Who knew learning about air pressure could be this much fun?
Watching these future scientists marvel at the world around them, we know that the most profound learning often begins right where the textbook ends.
